A new study of purple algae that lives in the extreme environment of glaciers is “contradicting” the idea that evolution is considered a “march of progress.”

That's one of the weird misconceptions YE creationists have about evolutionary theory. About 90% of educating YE creationists is disabusing them of stuff they think they know about evolution.

Nothing in evolutionary theory is about "progress." Sometimes that happens. Sometimes the opposite happens. Darwin wrote about it.

You'd think those guys would buy Darwin's book and a few modern textbooks, so they could write knowledgeably about the subject.
