That's one of the weird misconceptions YE creationists have about evolutionary theory. About 90% of educating YE creationists is disabusing them of stuff they think they know about evolution.

Nothing in evolutionary theory is about "progress." Sometimes that happens. Sometimes the opposite happens. Darwin wrote about it.

You'd think those guys would buy Darwin's book and a few modern textbooks, so they could write knowledgeably about the subject.

I notice even evolutioners make the mistake of saying "this evolved TO", as if evolution had any goals!

Pretty much as people say "water runs to." But of course, in neither case are they assuming goals.
