Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

Randy

But my point is children taught by their parents tend to believe their parents. No one is born knowing Jesus they must be taught.

True but it must be a Divine Revelation to know the True Christ, it cant be taught by mere flesh and blood, parents. Matt 11 25-27

25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Matt 16 16-17

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus responds to Faith.

In order to hold to the testimony of Jesus then yes, the Spirit of God must be involved. However little children believe their parents and Jesus responds to those who have faith in Him. If those children who believe in Him seek Him they will find Him. What Simon Peter stated is now well known and Christain parents teach their children about Christ Jesus. What was of importance to me is that my mother prayed with me. Something took for as I grew older I was praying on my own with great zeal to Him I knew in my heart lives. I knew, not just believed, by the Spirit of truth.

I state I have believed in and loved the Lord as far back as my memory goes. I do not believe I was chosen before I was born. Either way I have the Spirit of Christ in me. I know Him and He knows me well.

Man by nature has no faith that pleases God. He is in the flesh and carnal enmity against God Rom 8:7-8

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

You are sorely deceived if you think the carnal minded unregenerated has Faith in God

I stated a child can have faith in God but in order to hold to the testimony of Jesus the Spirit would need to be involved.

Believe is faith is it not?
Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

You stated wrong, a child naturally has no faith, not that which pleases God in Salvation affairs, they are flesh from their birth, needing like anyone else to be born again Jn 3:6-7

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

And good grief, the rocky ground hearer, their believing proves my point, it was counterfeit, just the flesh. They will draw back unto perdition, they had no spiritual root of faith, the flesh, only

The believing he cant do and please God is the believing the good ground hearer did, he was born again Matt 13:23

23 ;But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Notice he understood the word, that is spiritually, thats not stated about any of the other hearers.

Man by nature doesnt understand the things of God Rom 3:11

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Now thats the same greek word in Matt 13:23 understandeth, and only the good ground hearer does that because he has a new regenerate heart, the rocky ground person did not, so his believing was counterfeit, he didn't really understand the word, it was a pure fleshly emotional reaction that lasted briefly

A child can believe in Santa as taught by their parents but can't believe in Jesus as taught by their parents.

No parents cant teach children to believe in Jesus Christ, and I have explained why

So parents only teach their children lies?
Yeah, naturally speaking when it comes to God, of course they dont think it so, but they teach the lies they are deceived to believe. For example, what Jesus and God were you taught by your parents, and if you are a parent, what God and Jesus you teach them ? Be specific and detailed please

I think your theology has hardened your heart.
My Mother is Lutheran. Look up their beliefs as if would make a difference to your mindset.

Its from the True God
He tells you to believe like little children.

You are painting a picture of a depraved mind that can't accept the truth in regard to little children.

He doesn't
and said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!

I'm not advocating Lutherans. Does a disagreement in theologies among Christian denominations make Jesus false? Is Jesus not the Christ?
I don't remember deep theological positions I had or even know if I thought about such things then. I do know I have believed in and loved the Lord as far back as my memory goes.

Yeah Jesus is the Christ, however that doesnt mean you believe in Him. Just quoting that Title doesnt make anyone a believer in Him, duh
