you laughed about milk bottle delivery where they actually recycled the bottles and you got charged for one if you didn't give back the empty bottles. these places cleaned your glass bottled and refilled it with milk or oj, you got paid to recycle soda bottles. funny it was considered less green then, it was better then throwing away those as we do now. i remember tripson coming to my house and taking the old bottles left out and giving us the same bottles back.
paper bags were recycled into book covers,newspapers made into fish wraps and also mulch to keep the weeds down and or other uses.

Its a sham.if it wasn't forced by gun point it wouldnt be,China is refusing to take our trash .
Why on earth do we think that's its green ,when its not clearly .I watched a waste management truck move 10 ft to get recycling bins in a parking lot.at least use a roll off.

We recycle. Pretty serious about that. We also compost a lot. No bones or meat but all kinds of vegetable material like banana peals, corn cobs, apple cores and leaves and the like.

We did when the city we lived in provided separate bins for trash and recyclables. Where we live now everyone just puts their trash in a dumpster and the garbage truck comes to empty it. If we wanted to recycle we would have to make special errands to take the stuff to a recycling center.

We used to have to take our stuff to a recycling center, separated by glass, plastics, paper, and cardboard. They each went into their own bin. We did the dumping ourselves. So it took effort to recycle but things really got recycled we think.
My wife liked to root around the glass bin because she found some nice old bottles and other antique glass items folks had gotten rid of!

We get fined for that .no salvaging.here we pay to recycle tree stumps,branches.I don't .I find nearest lot and dump.

Technically, that's not recycling. It's better. They call it "reusing." Recycling requires processing material make new things of it. It's a pretty good deal, if we have sufficiently effective collection and manufacturing processes.

The idea of recycling is to break down materials, sterilize them, and then use them again so that it cuts down on wasting materials. Some say it is myth and doesn't help anything. Others about about the importance.
I used to recycle everything I could because where we lived there was a recycle bin they picked up. Where I am at now, we don't because they cancelled the recycling program and they do have a recycle center, but you must go drop off materials the hours they are open in person (not always feasible).
Although, I wish I could recycle easier, it is always tricky because certain things are not recyclable while others are..you know the fun differences between number 1 and 2 plastics vs. 6 or 7 plastics. Things like that. I figure the best solution above recycling is not buying plastics in the first place. Yes, it feels impossible to be 100% plastic free in this world, but everyone can cut down tremendously on their use of plastics, metal cans, etc.

Some states also do that bit well ship,it to China for recycling,and China throws it out anyway because no one is buying it.unless they mandate only,recycled plastic is used or any then well good luck with that as that involves socialism
