I guess by "highlights" you mean having some pieces of your hair dyed in a lighter shade than the rest of their hair?

Oh well... I don't have an opinion about that. Supposed that's equivalent to saying "I don't care".

Personally, I'm not much for guys with highlights. I don't really care for girls with green or blue hair, guys with pants that are falling down, girls with nose rings, or anyone who has completely covered their bodies with tattoos either. Guess I'm old fashioned?

I still have a full head of hair too, mostly still brown but with a lot of grey. I don't consider hair dye, but I do dye my moustache every few weeks. Otherwise it turns pure white, which just doesn't look right.

I understand. I've had my mustache since getting out of the navy more than 40 years ago. My wife and kids have never seen me without it. But today, if I don't dye it every few weeks it starts to look like John Bolton. Maybe it's time for me to shave it off.
