Electrical Question

Yeah I guess that is about when they started having us bond the pipes, in 06 or 07. I'm going to start looking for that in customers houses. I'm not electrician but do the gas & hvac so...I can sell 6 ga wire too lol.

Short as possible!

I really like those outdoor firepits and natural gas grills. We put a bunch of CSST underground out in C. Springs. (Sleeved with 2" pvc)

I've been looking at gas lights too. Mostly for the house. But not with CSST, 3/8 copper ran through the walls for those.

Excuse me Sir, do you have a license to sell that 6 gauge wire? Lol

I bought my first car from a guy who's business was investigating LP explosions, and consulting. Did he ever have some stories to tell! Had a really nice, big sailboat, too; paid professional staff to maintain it for him, sail it to various places for him where he would meet it, etc. My Brother captained that boat from time to time.

Hopefully tracking gas explosions isn't such big business anymore, solutions having been found ...

I was told that some community that was predominantly propane gas lobbied them or sued them or something over propane being more dangerous than natural gas, and to lift the stricter code requirements for propane...and won because overall it can not be shown that there are more gas leaks/explosions on propane systems than with natural gas...

The l.p. requirements sound good on paper, it being heavier than nat gas, but the reality of it is that when you hear of a gas explosion happening...they never really say it on the news, but someone did something mighty stupid.

I had an electrician buddy of mine come check everything out because of the liability of it being a rental and peace of mind. He said all the circuits looked good.

He did say an underground wire can cause a shock at the spiggot and tested for current between the earth and the spiggot and nothing came back.

Ohh, I replaced, or rather, I added an additional ground from the circuit box to the ground rod as well.

Why would you add a additional equipment grounding conductor from the panel box to the ground rod? Who told you to do that?
