Elevation church?

I don't know much about Steven, but I am in love with Michael Todd. I don't know much about Elevation churgh but would love to learn more. I would love to join a conversation about these pastors and God. I do believe if I talk more about God, good things will come to me.

Only if it's proper doctrine .the concern here is the prosperity gospel and it's deception

Hey All,
I have two Elevation churches in my area. I have never been to one. I found this info that explains why they are not considered to be fundamentally sound:

"Elevation Church withdrew from the Southern Baptist Convention Monday, June 26, 2023. Elevation Church has shed its decades-long affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention nearly two weeks after the convention upheld earlier decisions to expel churches with women pastors."

"Elevation Church's Steven Furtick was rebuked for teaching “God broke his own law” and inferring the ancient heresy of Modalism, a belief that God changes forms (or modes) between Father, Son and Holy Spirit."

Female pastors are a social argument. This is something the Southern Baptist said goes against their interpretation of biblical stance on women teachers being set over a man.
The other item is the denial of the fundamental fact that God does not change. Therefore He does not break His own law. If God broke His law, why should I keep His law?
Now to be fair, those quotes are of the Internet. So take them for what they are worth.
Keep walking everybody.
May God Bless,
Taz

In the nar circles it's common to have female pastors and apostles .

Yeah…

That’s one thing I’ve noticed with Pentecostal churches ⛪️. I asked a Pentecostal about it and he talked around the issue…

I dunno 🤷‍♂️ I think 🤔 women are given gifts that can be applied within the church but I don’t think they are permitted to lead churches.

This is why I don't get too involved with any one preacher/church. I leave myself the freedom to absorb that which I agree and disregard that which I find false.0

There is no perfect theology in church but I could use your view in eschatology to prove a point .

I could debate and poke holes in that if an elder was to teach that but again what is gained by that .discussion is one thing and taking sides but not separation.

My pastor is amil .his wife is pre mil.
A retired pastor of the church is pre mil.im amil and others vary .one is a partial preterist .

Yet none are as furtick .a good elder will see the grey areas .the Trinity and nature of God isn't .

I dunno 🤷‍♂️

He was one of the so called popes of the Carolina’s I haven’t heard that term in a while so I think 🤔 the situation has changed. My main problem is with the megachurch situation which…

Is becoming a bigger problem because megachurches are growing and other churches are declining eek 😱

I just don’t see true biblical governance in megachurch setups. I don’t think it’s even possible especially with multi campus churches.
