Hi ?
I'm a new Christian. I got my first bible late last year and I'm making my way through it. I've been learning a lot online too. I'm loving learning everything but there's one thing that is holding me back. The bible says many times, do not fear. However everything I hear about the end times is terrifying. I can't help but worry for my daughter. About being able to protect her and provide for her. Everyone seems to think that we're in those times and I can't help but worry. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

. I can't help but worry for my daughter. About being able to protect her and provide for her.
It is natural to worry about one's children, unfortunately they are not us, they are themselves.
They will experience life, leave home, go to college, work, make friends etc etc.
They as individuals will have to accept Jesus or reject him.

All you can do is take them to church, pray unceasingly for them, show them how to live and trust God.

Hi samantha333 and welcome to CF. The end time events are very scary, but God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, 2Timothy 1:7. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell, Matthew 10:28.

What I have written below that deals with the seven trumpets of God that we read about in Revelations is not to scare you or anyone else, but to prepare us for what must come first before the return of Christ on the last day in hopes that all would turn back to God as they repent of their sin. This will be a time of great faith and patience as we wait upon the return of Christ, but no one knows when this will happen.

When the son of perdition takes his literal seat in the holy place of Jerusalem Jesus warned us to flee as He has a place prepared for us wherever we go to, Matthew 24:15-21; Rev 12:14.

God's protection is absolute to those who escape into the wilderness and trust in Christ to help meet their needs. Just as God told Moses to strike the rock for fresh water, Exodus 17:1-7, and sending manna down from heaven and providing Quail for meat, Exodus 16, so will be the same in the end of days, Philippians 4:19.

Nut shell scenario of what will happen during the first six trumpets of Rev Chapter 8-11 that leads up to the seventh trumpet and the events of Chapter 13 with the beast out of the sea and out of the earth.

God’s wrath is poured out into the world as chastisements for disobedience, but also a warning that man needs to repent and turn back to God before the door of salvation is closed forever when Christ returns on the last day, John 5:28-29; 6:40.

Hail and fire can be likened unto meteors that fall from the sky. A third of the trees and all the green grass are burned up which makes a third part of the world with a shortage of oxygen in the air that is created from the carbon dioxide from the trees and living plants. Seeing that this is Global the intense fire and smoke from all the trees and grass burning can travel for miles causing much more damage throughout the nations. The trees that produce various healthy foods for our wellbeing will become scarce. The green grasses that would probably include crops of wheat, barley, corn and so forth will be destroyed causing a shortage in food. The animals we depend on as a food source will also die as they are left without vegetation they need to live on.

This great mountain burning with fire could be another meteor or even a series of meteors sent down from heaven at one time, but on an extremely larger scale as the third part of the sea is destroyed along with sea life and the third part of the ships that sit in it. The third part of the sea turned to blood by reason of all the animal life that is killed and those men, women and children who are on these ships that are destroyed. Take into consideration the disease that would spread from all the rotted sea life that is rotting away washing up on the shore and the flesh of those who were burned along with the ships.

These ships will more than likely be types of fuel tankers, merchant, fishing and luxury cruises ships traveling the waters. With the third of these ships being destroyed means a third part of the world’s fuel and food supply would be destroyed. There is only one ocean, but divided by four regions as being the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and the Indian Ocean. This would be like the four corners of the earth as being North, South, East and West. The only difference between the ocean and the sea is that the ocean is much larger and feeds into the 108 seas around the world that also flow into our lakes and streams that provide us with fresh drinking water and other sources of food.

With the third part of the sun, moon and stars being darkened this will affect mans source of electricity and heat that is vital to keep a certain degree of the earth warm, and generated power in homes, hospitals and manufacturing plants including nuclear reactors.

Agriculture and navigation would be hard pressed as it takes the solar power from the sun to run the solar cells that produces the energy needed to run farming machinery and trucks to take the produce to manufacturing plants where the produce is then distributed to market.

Vehicles such as cars, ambulances, planes, trains and the list goes on need an energy source from the sun in order to run their engines. The darkness of the third part of the day would be roughly around eight hours of daylight being lost and total darkness of night as the moon and stars are illuminated by the sun at night. A flashlight would be useless to see in the dark as it needs energy from the sun to run the battery that turns the light on.

This much darkness would cause people to panic in the streets creating chaos as the love of many will wax cold, Matthew 24:12. Riots would break out causing looting and lose of life as those who have not will do anything in desperation to take from those who have much. IMO Marshal law will be enforced as we see history repeat itself with many Christians taken captive that did not flee and killed as they refuse to denounce Christ and take the mark. They will also die a martyr's death, Rev 6:9-11, especially vs. 11. Also we are not to fear what man can do to us, Matthew 10:28.

This is where the mark of the beast comes in during the seventh trumpet as this NWO is a Luciferian system of economics, political, military, educational and false religious power that gives power to the beast out of the earth being the son of perdition. By lying signs and wonders the beast will deceive the nations (people) into taking its mark. IMO I think the mark is the thoughts of our mind and the actions of our hands reaching out to this beast that promises peace, safety and provision as many will bow down and worship this beast who claims to be God.

After the 3 1/2 years of this Luciferian reign on earth that will try and wear out the saints then every eye will see Christ coming in the clouds with His army of angels that are then sent out to gather those saints who are alive at His coming and those who sleep in their graves. We are gathered up to the clouds as we receive our new glorified bodies in order to meet Jesus in the air. From the air He destroys the beast and false prophet by the brightness of His coming only speaking their destruction casting them into the lake of fire. Satan is bound for a time as Jesus sets out to destroy all the nations that followed after the beast. Satan is then released in a final attempt to destroy the saints as he sends his angels out to surround the camp of the saints, but the angels are consumed by fire and Satan cast into the lake of fire. Then comes God's great white throne judgment and the books are opened and all are judged. Then this present heaven and earth are burned up and made new again and the New Jerusalem is ushered down from heaven where we will be with the Lord forever.

I'd recommend that you read https://archive.org/details/revelations-gone-global—it’s free on Archive and buyable on Amazon. Ch.9 has a section on rapture anxiety—you are not alone! And C S Lewis’ essay, The World’s Last Night, is briefly examined to enjoin a calm awareness of the ongoing battle we are in, and the brightness to come when the king returns.

Do not be concerned with all manner of wild speculations about how people are trying to explain the symbolic language. Most of them are way off base. Jesus will return, or we will leave this world to go see Him.
We are told to learn about Him and who we are in saving union with Him. That will instruct us in how we are to conduct ourselves here in Kingdom service to Him.

It's says in scripture that not even the 'Son' knows when the Day of the Lord will be,just the Father,search it.Ive been hearing 'These Are The Last Days' for a long time.The Tim LaHaye 'Left Behind' books and malarkey really kicked the end times conversations into high gear.I remember all of the talk about having our heads cut off back in the 90's,we're still here.Look at everything this way,follow the money,alot lazy corrupt people have figured how to grift off of your worries and fears,I'm not going to list who all of them are,think about it.Im tired of hearing about Israel,Google A.I.P.A.C,or American Israel Political Action Committee,one of the most powerful lobbies in Washington D.C.Maybe there are corrupt people in the Israeli Goverment/Beaucracy that likes to grift American Dollars?.You don't think?,Google Operation Northwoods,and that was in this country.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

After reading the OP's statement, I then read it again and was still unable to
find a question in it; even so much as a question mark.

BTW: samantha333 has not been seen anywhere on CF dot net since May 05, 2024.
That was very nearly eight months ago.

Jesus told His messengers, His disciples, I've told you all of this that is going to happen, not to make you afraid,
but rather so that when it happens (because A LOT OF BAD WILL HAPPEN)
so that when it happens,
you can remember all I told you, that I told you it would happen,
and
your joy that you have already in ME will continue (even in the valley of death! I shall fear no evil)......

Be anxious for nothing, but bring everything, always , in prayer with ME and the FATHER in heaven.......
I will never, not ever, no never abandon you as orphans nor forsake you nor leave you.
Trust Me. (Jesus, not man)

I’ve wondered about the end times as have most Christians I would assume. Scripture paints a frightening image of economic instability and disasters and plagues and false Christs and…

Oddly enough a degree of normalcy. People will be marrying and having kids ? and the mark of the beast is yo allow for buying and selling goods which is what makes the world economy go round. I ponder this periodically. I think human beings try to create normal enough lives no matter the circumstances. And…

No one knows the hour. I’m personally a bit frightened by it because…time shall be no more…

But it’s really just a dramatic end to an unjust and ultimately unsustainable world ?. God will redeem and recreate and restore His people and His creation.

I think human beings try to create normal enough lives no matter the circumstances.
What did the people do in Noah's Day? Shopping, marrying, giving in marriage, and then they were destroyed, Suddenly, yet after perhaps a hundred years warning.
People today are doing what ? Shopping, marrying, giving in marriage... ... repeat.

I'm going to break a rule here for just a second. On this board responses are only to be made to the OP. Since they are gone, people can't make posts that are going to be directed to others and so responses to the OP are senseless. Please don't respond any further to this thread. If anyone would like to further discuss the OP's post, then go start a thread in one of the discussion boards where we can all respond. thanks.

Absolutely not a dumb question. The idea is, when we fear, we ask Him to cleanse us of the fear. As He does this, He makes us more and more capable to help.

.
When I was working as a professional welder for the US Army Corps of Engineers,
we had weekly and monthly safety meetings wherein we were shown some grisly
photographs of real life industrial accidents involving burns, chain saws, punctured
eyes, explosions, falls, crane collapses, suffocation, crushing, and the like.

Let me tell you: those safety meetings got our attention, and really made a sharp
distinction between the fool and the wise.

A Danger Foreseen;
Is Half-Avoided.

Cheyenne Proverb

Now; the book of Revelation was written for a number of purposes but the one that
really stands out is mentioned right at the first; and goes like this;

"The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what
must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
who testifies to everything he saw-- that is: the word of God and the testimony of
Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed
are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is
imminent."

At least one of the blessings to be obtained by reading Revelation is awareness, i.e.
folks familiar with its contents won't be taken by surprise when the events it describes begin coming to pass.

A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions;
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

God says to us in His word, the Bible, that when we are well-settled into His love for us, when we know AND believe the incredible love He has for us, His love will "cast out fear."

1 John 4:16-19
16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
19 We love, because He first loved us.

In being afraid, the Christian who fears simply reveals that they have yet to understand and trust the God of Love who not only humiliated Himself for us, setting aside His heavenly glory and taking on the form of servant, dying at the hands of evil men (Philippians 2:5-11), but has also made us "unblushing promises" of love, joy, peace, rest and provision in fellowship with Himself.

2 Peter 1:2-4
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

This life is merely a preparation-time for the eternity waiting for us all on the far side of the grave. The "Big Show" is the everlasting life to come in a "new heavens and earth," not the life we live now on this sin-cursed globe. Except for our salvation and growth in Christ, what may happen to us in the here-and-now is trivial and insignificant beside the never-ending joy and wonder of dwelling with God in the New Jerusalem. So, make yourself ready for that existence; encourage your children to do the same. No one gets out of this life alive. But Real Life, endless peace and goodness, await those who have prepared now to meet their Maker as loving heavenly Father rather than as wrathful, holy Judge.

Colossians 3:1-4
1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Philippians 3:20-21
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

2 Peter 3:10-14
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,

As we usher out this wicked system, it is only natural to become afraid at times as humans naturally want to have full clarity on what tomorrow (specifically defined as the literal day after today or used in a more general sense of the upcoming years). Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6 to "Never be anxious and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or, ‘What are we to drink?’ or, ‘What are we to wear?’ For all these are the things the nations are eagerly pursuing. Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things."
