I know what you're thinking. It's been forever since I've updated my fairytale story, well it just so happens that I was thinking about updating it later on. Sorry, I've just been rather busy with my fanfiction lately. Anyway, I originally invented the everlasting rose in one of my Harry Potter fanfics, but I decided that it would also work well with my fairytale story so I decided to use them for that as well. So yeah, this is the poem that I decided to write to show what the everlasting rose symbolizes for me in our relationship.
I remember the first day we met when we decided to become friends.
I knew that you were special and that our friendship would never end.
And it still hasn't to this day, not only do I love you in the romantic way,
but I love you in every sense known to man. I had my heat broken once when I was young,
I loved another but he loved another one and used me to get to her.
I was so hurt inside, I thought that I would never love again, but then you put that all to an end.
Then when you left me behind, I was broken and torn inside. I still am even now, I can't really understand although you will always be in my heart why we have to be apart.
However, have you ever heard the legend of the everlasting roses?
For a regular rose blooms only in the summer, but these roses bloom forever.
Just like the people who have given their life to Christ, they will live on forever and never truly die. Even through the thickest of snow they will still stand and continue to bloom,.. and that's exactly how my love is for you.
I will wait for you.
