Evidence For God (I'd love to hear feedback)

But God has already been proven:

" "A REPORT by the Church of England’s doctrine commission states that hell is not a fiery furnace after all; rather, it is an abstract place of nothingness. “There are many reasons for this change,†the report explains. “But amongst them have been the moral protest from both within and without the Christian faith against a religion of fear, and a growing sense that the picture of God who consigned millions to eternal torment was far removed from the revelation of God’s love in Christ."

God MUST have contacted the Church of England's doctrine commission who else would have the authority to cancel hellfire? Otherwise you would be claiming that people have thought up hell themselves.
We know fire is real and has been seen and even photograghed by many firemen and campers.

Always a scoffer has to find some avenue of doubt.

Not an avenue of doubt. I just try to show how some Christian arguments appear to a person looking at them from a logical and rational point of view. Sometimes I just have fun with the arguments especially when they lead to absurdities. :)

childeye, really we dont know what gehanna is. does a literal fire actually destroy a spirit? if god wants it to it can but could said lake be a symbol and literal place. our god is a consuming fire and his serveants flaming spirits.

so we christians are made of fire? yes i do believe in the concept of hell but much of what is said isnt that clear. i dont rely on visions of saints these days as one will say this and another that. cant be from god if they contradict.

I understand and I meant the scoffer thing as a joke even as I meant the fire thing as a joke. For it is absurd that someone doesn't understand the qualities of fire and the intent of scripture to which it is referred.

So Artie, I find atheism an irrational and illogical religion of the world. What do you find illogical about a Christ?

Yes Jason I know this. It was a joke. But while you've mentioned it, I'd like to get your thoughts on this hellfire. For Truth is likened to a fire and would lies then be the fuel? Likewise there are different kinds of fire in physics. The sun is a fire that burns hydrogen. There is thermatic fire. Love also is likened to a fire in scripture. So it is plausible that remorse is the torment of hellfire. Not for being in the fire, but for not trusting in Love eternal and discounting what is True and Holy. What do you think?

the sun is a big nuclear reactor that is powered by fusion reaction.
i see it as god tormenting souls as they know forever what they rejected and are foverever tormented. remember weeping and wailing and outer darkness and where the worm dieth not. gnashing of teeth.

Yes, and good scriptural referance. I know how I would feel if I had despised all that was good and in a personal way. It really would be in a carnal sense like losing the winning lottery ticket that would have set me up for life, yet worse. Because it is a betrayal of everything that makes life worthwhile.

That is a much to broad a statement to be able to answer in a few words. For example: For you to say that you find "atheism an irrational and illogical religion of the world" is a strange statement seeing as you are an atheist yourself. An atheist is a person who doesn't believe in god(s) or goddesses. You don't believe in god(s) or goddesses yourself, it's just that you have made one single exception for one god, God.

I think the strange statement is that even by your own definition of atheism, childeye cannot be an atheist, despite your claim that they are.

"Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.[2] Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist."

Wikipedia

So since he doesn't believe in any of the thousands of gods or goddesses except for one exception, God, wouldn't he be 99.999 percent atheist?

By any of those definitions, even belief in one deity precludes one from being an atheist. All it takes is one.

I believe there is an absolute Truth, not many. I believe Love, that empathy and compassion for others, is a Spirit that operates in man through faith or trust.

I am trying to get across that the statement ""atheism an irrational and illogical religion of the world" cannot be seen as a religion as it doesn't involve faith in any gods. An atheist has an enormous amount in common with a Christian as they both don't believe in thousands of gods. A Christian has simply made one exception out of thousands. Do you understand? If it's "irrational and illogical" to be an atheist because an atheist doesn't believe in gods or goddesses then a Christian must also be "irrational and illogical" since they have the non-belief of all gods in common except God. It's just that the Christian has made an exception from the rule.

To be clear it is irrational to believe in anything other than One God. God being that absolute Truth through which we acknowledge exists pertaining to knowledge and ignorance of.

Then I'm afraid I can't debate with you. You are operating on blind faith, I'm operating on logic and reason, the scientific method and evidence. Never the twain shall meet.
