A Contemporary Manifestation of the Spirit of Antichrist
The spirit of antichrist has captivated thousands upon thousands of people today unknowingly. I want to highlight, one that is prevalent in our time. It concerns one of the 2024 Presidential candidates, Vivek Ramaswamy. He appears to be a good man, though I do not know him personally. After listening to him for a while, I noticed that he often talked about God and emphasizes the importance of God in the family—values I also hold dear. However, upon closer observation, I discovered that his religion is Hinduism. Vivek believes that Jesus Christ is merely one of many names who claim to be God and that God can be known by many different names. At first glance, this idea might seem appealing and peaceful, as it avoids controversy. But when viewed through the lens of the Holy Bible, we recognize this belief as the spirit of Antichrist, according to the Scripture.
Such thinking is easy to embrace because it promotes unity without conflict. However, the Lord Jesus Himself declared: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, "ye shall die in your sins” (John 8:24). The underlying message in Vivek Ramaswamy’s viewpoint is this: “Let’s all be one big happy family. You worship your god by whatever name you call him, because it’s the same god under different names.” Yet, I must stress again, “This is the spirit of Antichrist.”
