Faith and/or good works ?

I think the focus is wrong when we look with guilt and anger at the Lord for those he rejects. He is not rejecting them. They reject him.

Buddha is good.
I like Buddha.
So I guess it's safe to say that all the Buddhists in the world from the beginning to the end are destined for eternal separation from God.
I like Buddha, also. I used to visit Buddhist temples in Japan. I used to meditate. I seriously considered becoming a Buddhist monk at one time. I was shocked to review an NDE where someone saw Siddhartha in the lake of fire. It was not my NDE, so I can't be sure if this is valid, but he was an atheist.

when one submits to the Lord, accepts Jesus, finally, and is saved from this world and the penalties of the original sin, then one is new. Only that submission saves, to follow the tree of life - Jesus - and abandon the tree of knowledge. And when this truly happens, it is evident in one's acts. Maybe not everyone notices, for some are blind. But I have understood works to follow on, not bring about, salvation. It is true that the unsaved also do good works. But we need not worry. It is for the Lord to know who is in his number, not for man.

I like your answer and agree. Anyone can do good works for his fellow man, but what in his heart provoked it to action? If it's for any worldly reason, it means nothing to God. If it stems from your faith in God, then it proves your faith in God. That you walk the walk rather than just talk the talk.

:) Not hard to understand at all.

No, that's not our Lord's nature.

It is people who reject Him. He's most willing to accept everyone.

Even at judgment day, or will people refuse to believe him and continue to reject him after they see him.

'...every tongue confess, every knee shall bow...'. There will be no contentious arguments with God at the Judgment.

Even the demons know.....and shudder! Yet they will not be spared.

Because the condition for salvation is faith. Faith by definition means you can't see that which you place your trust in.

I think any moron would suddenly want to be saved when standing before God about to be condemned. And if you let them into the kingdom they will have the same evil heart they had before the judgment. The way of faith truly tests men's hearts and removes the potential for fakes entering into the kingdom.

Point and case is that it is in Gods nature to reject people.

1 John 1:5-7 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

I compare this to Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has to reject darkness.

How can you say this ? The written word teaches us if you have seen the son (Jesus) then you have seen the Father (God). This means they are the same in what they say and do. That is why Jesus said many times in the written Word of God...."I only do what I see my father do and I only say what my Father says"

It is also written in the word of God and spoken by Jesus......I will NOT EVER TURN AWAY any one. Now of course He is referring to those who reach out to Him BUT it does not change His way of doing things.

God does NOT Havbe a REJECTING NATURE.....John 3:16 tells us that who so ever which means any one...calls out to Him or reaches out or ask for Him ....He will in no way turn away....No I did not just quote the scripture bad, BUT I did high light certain points.....

The only people that God will reject or Jesus will reject are those WHO DID NOT MAKE JESUS LORD OF THIER LIVES...Jesus poored out His blood so no one would be rejected.....No Blood Covering you....then He does not know you......

God doesnt reject those who accept him but those that don't? and you think God doesnt have a rejecting nature? You're contradicting yourself Jim.

Think about it this way, nukedkitty:

A true parent loves his child, regardless. Doesn't matter how the course of time flows, that parent loves that child.

When the child becomes an adult, the child takes offense at something the parent may have said or done (or not said or done). The adult child decides to never have anything to do with that parent.

The parent never gives up hope for that adult child. The love continues, even though the adult child rejects every attempt by the parent to correct the relationship.

Something adverse happens. The adult child dies. There's never going to be another chance for that adult child to mend the relationship with the parent. When the adult child dies, that's it. It's over.

Yet, the love that parent has for the (adult) child never ends. Yet, the relationship has concluded.

Yet but according to the bible the parent rejects the child in the here and now.
