"fake news"

how does one decide? I lean (very) left on most issues, but I sense that the way the news is presented--I think its called "framing"-- is, in fact, different on different outlets. More neoliberal on CNN, neoconservative on FOX. I get mass emails from ThinkProgress, and...overall, I agree with their analysis, until they get to stuff like abortion, gay rights, etc...then I definitely detect bias.

where do you get your news? how did you decide where to get your news?

If you want to know the truth, keep a record of the major issues as they are and often are not on the MSM. You'll need, preferably, the Fox News Channel or at the least one good Christian Radio Station that gives the news. There are also Right Leaning News Papers on the web that are not preaching the lies of the Radical Right.

all news is biased. Haven't found one that is not biased. A harvard study showed how most of the media, main stream...was showing negativity toward trump (greater than 90%) during election cycle. https://heatst.com/culture-wars/harvard-study-reveals-huge-extent-of-anti-trump-media-bias/. Other studies show that there is a middle base, like yahoo news. But during the election they were no better than any others. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ed-on-their-audiences/?utm_term=.1c17a99728a1. Me personally I follow people I agree with on twitter, and then read the news sources from them. (I like the gatewaypundit and fox). Like I said they are all biased for the most part. But since conservativism is not the main stream, it's more likely that you will not hear conservative news. Think progress is left leaning, and mine are right leaning, so like I said they are all biased, but mine is a rarer form of bias, making it more valuable.

There is different forms of fake news. It could be fake news where there is no facts, proof or evidence to back it up.

Or it could be fake news where they stage an event where there reporting.

Or it could be fake news where they interview there own people or actors to give an account.

There is many ways the fake news is fake news.

Where do I get my news?
  • Various radio stations' national news feeds (a mix of FOX, CNN, etc.)
  • Various local AND national radio talk shows
  • Internet boards like CF.net and TheSpacePort
  • The news feeds/ads on Facebook
That is, I don't get my news from one source. I trust no one to tell the truth or to tell the whole and complete truth.
The bias is everywhere because the culture we now live in (left, right, does not matter) endorses ideologically tainted information as news, as fact.

The REAL challenge is to learn to analyze, think, as you absorb the news. Listening to many sources helps in this regard, you WILL hear differences in the "facts" presented this way - and you WILL think about what you are "learning" more, far more, than just listening to one outlet.

"Bannon is gone and the alt-right has receded. But they’re winning. A hostility to American government institutions, a disdain for traditional norms, the embrace of conspiracy theories—all are astonishingly pervasive among the conservative commentariat and Republican politicians."

dirtfarmer here

I have sites like from Australia, Israel, Russia, and England. From these sources I try to read between the lines and then draw my own conclusions,

Just remember when the establishment controlled fake news medias call something a conspiracy theory it really means anything that doesn't agree with them. When in fact its reversed because the whole Trump-Russia thing is a conspiracy theory with no facts or evidence, and they still going on about it.

I'm a paranoid schizophrenic but I believe that it's all a production and we only know what they allow us to know, like that food shortage down in Central America where they looting just to survive?

That's big freaking news man but there's only been bit's and pieces of news about that.

Also the homeless situation in the US is much worse than they let on.

talk about biased. At least in america we have two slants, most of those countries only have one. and your stuck with it regardless of your personal viewpoints. Thats true bias. But I encourage you to reply to my post about left leaning bias here to further the discussion:

Actually, they have gone off course and the Special Prosecutor is moving into looking at Trump's financial records but under the guise of the Russian Investigation.
