impossible question for a movie lover to answer DIFINITIVELY, on any given day<
LOL
I'm a movie lover too.
Why do you think I cheated!
My son's friend did the graphics for Troy.

I can't get the same movies you get.

The Good the Bad and the Ugly
Josey wales
The Matrix

I like westerns a lot. But lately the Lord has impressed upon me that it is not good to watch violent movies or movies that represent sin in any way. Not even for entertainment. He said it's better to watch documentaries and movies and shows which do not represent sin or evil in any way, and that the reason it is not good for us to watch them is that he created the people that are in the movies and he must watch what I watch through me and it grieves him to see his creation having vile and evil things done to them. It hurts Him. Even if it's just a movie and not real because it turns mens hearts to evil and away from him. Movies affect us more than we realize and part of what He meant when He said diligently guard your heart is by the things we watch.

Whoa. I almost fell off the chair. I don't like a lot of the new movies and so watch stuff on youtube quite often. I usually watch a couple episodes of The Rifleman every day. It seems like a good show. But I think there's only one or two episodes where he doesn't kill someone. I haven't watched it since. My apologies if this brings rain onto what is obviously a light hearted thread, but the Lord did teach this to me very recently so I thought I'd share.

Blazing Saddles
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Fiddler on the Roof
The world's Fastest Indian
Will be checking out The World's Fastest Indian.
Hope it's not the Indian version of The Need for Speed. !
(won't be able to get past the first few minutes).

Couldn' agree with you more Edward.
Everything we see becomes a part of us.
I like scary movies. NOT violent scary moves or bloody scary movies.
There are some that are very well done and have a high standards. With very serious actors. I'm not sure even these should be watched since they have an element of the evil one running through them. An example would be The Others.

It's rather horrifying to me to hear that parents, these days, will let their kids watch movies I wouldn't want to see! Absolutely everything has an effect on us and we should be very careful what Young kids see. It does harden the heart.

Thanks for sharing. That's what we're here for.

P.S. I think I better say that Drama is my favorite genre.
But I loved The Matrix.
Try to see The 13th Floor...you'd like that too.

Maybe based on the life of Jim Thorpe if about American Indians.
No Eugene.
I looked it up because I thought I hadn't seen it.

I'm going to have to watch it again.

Saving Private Ryan (war really sucks)
White Christmas (with Bing Crosby)
Cowboys Versus Aliens (the preacher makes it awesome)
Indiana Jones (the temple of doom excluded)

And because I like silly movies...
Dude, Where's My Car?

Don't forget "Back to the Future".

Oh I did see the 13th floor, that was a good movie. He didn't even know he was a program either until the girl at the end. I almost didn't see that coming but I figured it out before he did, lol.

I never have liked scary movies. I used to watch Chiller Theater quite a bit but it was mostly monster movies. The only horror movie I've ever watched was...Halloween? The one with Jamie Lee Curtis in it. I watched it just for her, lol. I've always liked her (and her dad!).

Love Story

star Wars

Forest Gump
In that order but I can't watch Love Story with my kids and grandkids because they think I'm a tough guy and whe gets Cancer and dies the tears and deep breaths are going to well up and that just ruins my image.

.
Movies that can’t be put down.
wave2
1962’s The Manchurian Candidate (B&W) was intense with my wife asking WHAT??? in unbelief at its ending.
1976’s Logan’s Run, a movie of the future when all were required to die at 30 was great.
