Favorite shows from a long time gone.

Also watched the test pattern before programming began in the morning, watched many nights until the national Anthem ended the broadcast day ..

On a personal level, Love Story but not in public. Every time she is going to die, I cry. But my all time favorite was Superman.I took my five year old son to see it and sitting on the last row I sat him on the Arm of his seat and it fascinated him to see that man in the Tights fly. O the way to truck, the only way I got him there was to, litterally, drag him by te and as if e were blind. He was and all he could see was the empty sky, the top of the trees and He could not find the flying man, Hollywood never knew it but my junior had been captured.

Father Know's Best, Make Room for Daddy, Ma and Pa Kettle, I Love Lucy, Romper Room, Leave it to Beaver, Ed Sullivan Show, Our Gang just to name a few. I have a lot of these old shows on DVD and sure brings back some memories of childhood in the 50's and 60's.

Yiddish is a sunset of jewry
(shhhhhh! Don't tell the Jews who still use it every day!)
not all jews speak it.sephardic, and yeminite,Ethiopian jews don't
His audience was north-east coast around New York where people know what someone means when they say: "Borscht belt" and "Jewish Alps" . I don't think he was on TV in Yemen or Ethiopia or a big draw among dispersed Spanish Jews. But around New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania? a Boychik.
