There's something special about seeing patriotic pictures of people from past generations. For some reason, to me, they just seem more genuine. They've been through so much and can tell younger generations about things they can only read in books. I can't make a blanket statement, but it seems overall, they were about sacrifice. Today, it seems to be more about "me". But, I'm sure every generation takes a similar view of past & present generations.
just in time for memorial day. hmm when the time comes i will start a post on heroes of wars past and present. i have a few in mind some family that have passed on.
mike when i was a kid and in the martial art of tkd we used to roll up the flag and the sensei was a former marine. he did that and can still do that today even though hes been out almost as long as i been alive.
