Forgiving Michael Vick

I see that a lot of people will not forgive Michael Vick, many of these people will rather see a baby aborted rather than a animal. Now I love animals, I have a baby kitten right now, and I am also a a dolphin and elephant protector and I get real angry when you hurt them unjustly. But now Mike has repented of the evil that once had him in it's grips. But I see and hear people say that I will never watch another Philadelphia Eagles game, as long as Vick is at the helm. My thing is many people secular and Christian, do not want to forgive you, they want you to suffer for the rest of your life, these evil people want to see you go to your grave in torment. Now even though I am a animal lover, killing a animal is not on the same scale as killing a human, period. Vick has paid for what he has done, so get off the guy's case. Now many of these same people don't even flinch when they hear about aborted babies. Now some of these secular people I can see it because they don't know any better, but when it comes to Christians that know the Word of God, something is wrong with these people. Now as for me I don't like what Mike did, but I have forgiven him, and now Vick does not even like what he did. Many people put a animals life above a human life, I see and hear it all the time. And now that Vick is the top rated QB in football, many will hate him even more.

I'm a long-time Philadelphia Eagles fan who works at an animal shelter as a volunteers. I don't know if Vick ever accepted Christ as Savior. However, he served his prison time, works with the SPCA, and has shown genuine repentance for his dog-fighting operation.

By the way, that's a good point about how we ignore athletes who pay for abortions while not forgiving an athlete who killed dogs.

Sports fans are funny (and I'm including myself in this comment) in that we will get over just about anything if the player does well. Look at Bryant and his rape charge! I wonder if Vick would be embraced the way he is if he bombed. I agree with your OP, Lewis. Animals should be cared for, but some put them on the same level (or higher) as people created to adore the Lord.
