After all the degree work, became a Master Mason in 1995 after the urging of my Dad because it was a "generational thing", going back at least five generations on my Dad's side. Found the rituals and the even the oaths very easy to remember and recite, which in itself was very curious to me--almost like it all just rolled off the tongue. Was growing in my own Christian Faith at this time and I really started to have questions about Masonry in general, starting with the ritual that portrays Hiram Abiff {Soloman's chief architect] being raised from the dead, after being murdered. As I recall, I believe that is part of the 3rd degree of Masonry. I remember being in a Master's Club competition one night where different Lodges came together to perform the 3 different degrees with all the rituals and felt a vivid darkness and a coldness that night in which I believe the Holy spirit was telling me to get away from my affiliation with Masonry----which I did. Burned my ritual code book and have never gone back to any Lodge meetings since then.
