Are you saying the Catholic Church grants the authority to its followers to pray to saints ?
Please show us where Jesus taught His disciples and apostles to pray to saints in heaven.

The scriptures are our guide to doctrine, not Catholicism.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16
No where did Jesus ever instruct His Apostles to pray to people.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
1 Timothy 4:1
Sacred scripture is the churches witness to Christ not every single thing is found in scripture
Christ established a church to teach with His authority
Christ is the light! (Truth)

The church he founded is also the light as an extension and command of Christ! Matt 5:14
Christ is the teacher!

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles! The apostles have the same mission, ministry, power, and authority as Christ! Jn 20:21 as the father sent me, so I send you!

True Apostles and teachers do not teach against the teachings of Christ.
In order to defeat his worldview, you have to get him to see that the burden of proof is on him to prove that the RCC is the Apostolic Church, as opposed, say, to eastern orthodox.
He so far has never really addressed the burden, but dodge it.
Born Again Christians comprise God's True Church. The Church does not have magic power to edit fundamental reality like Dona assumes. Nor does the RCC have said powers.
He has NEVER shown the RCC to be "God's church". It really halts his ability to defend his worldview because he has no answers. Error has no real answer to Truth.
I don't know how he still manages to maintain his assumptions even when his view is shown to be irrational and impossible, and has a MASSIVE hole. Catholicism is based on SAND not rock.
When the wind of Truth blows away the sand, the catholicism "castle" can barely do anything.
This is one reason why the catholics censored people centuries ago. They wanted to artificailly protect their precious sand. Ironically it just exposed em even more.

Each church in each city is led by the Spirit in these matters.
They either stand or fall based on their submission or rebellion to the Spirit.

He is the High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.
For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life. Hebrews 7:12-16
This is the priesthood He has made us a part of.
