Gay community and the rest of us

I was thinking about this the other day. I'm ex-"gay" (more like ex-homosexual: I committed the same sins, but I was never fully committed to "the lifestyle"), and I was thinking about how gay ideas are transforming our culture. Here's what I came up with...Christian and conservative thinkers all over have suggested these before:

1) easy, breezy "relationships"
2) changing concept of beauty (not for the better, btw)
3) open sexual exploitation of the young, the weak, the economically disadvantaged
4) changing gender roles--to me, I see gay men as exaggerating certain aspects of masculinity (gay "machismo"), while completely ignoring what traditional and/or Christian people would regard as solid, true masculinity. Your thoughts?
5) increasingly materialism--Remember, Sodom was destroyed not only for sexual perversion, but also for hoarding wealth while neglecting the poor, the widow, the alien, the "stranger at the gates." Marx said that sodomy was largely "a disease of capitalism." I'd say its more an issue of too much time, money, and "self," both for individuals and society as a whole. I may be wrong.
6) Age-ism--Once upon a time, aging...happened. It wasn't a crime to be over 40 or whatever. Plastic surgery was mostly for actresses. Now, everybody wants to get Botox'ed and made over. There's a lot at work here, but given the intense ageism in the gay community and the way affluent, educated, powerful homosexuals and their lackeys are remaking our culture ("taste makers"), I'm kind of inclined to blame at least some it on the gay community's complete insistence upon constant pursuit of (youthful) beauty.

That's all I could come up with. Your thoughts?

for me, a lot of things you mentioned just does not seem gay enough. You could pin most of it straight folks sleeping around and fornicating just as much as gay folk. All except changing the gender roles or course but the rest I would not just slap it on the gay crowd as sin is sin is sin.

If I was Satan and wanted to promote sin and the acceptance of sin (Tolerance, love everyone, We are all God's creation so we all should just be happy with what we are all doing) Then Homosexuality seems to be a legit springboard to accepting what God does not.

I mean it would be hard for Satan to get everyone to accept that murdering someone you don't like is OK, but He has killed millions of aborted babies a year. He has to pick something that appears to be a victemless sin.

I don't think it's gay really, I think it's more providing something that people will accept without much fuss and something that God does not like. Now if that happens to be the promotion of the gay crowd then that is just what it is. If we did not freak out over people stealing, then it would have been that.

You being a ex-homosexual I can certainly see how God could have given you light to really see the destructive force behind that behavior so I don't want to diminish that but I would be hard pressed to say the gays did it and it's their fault because if it was not gay, then Satan would have come up with something we would not have been as freaked out about.

The core values of worth that have to be overcome after such a time...couldnt imagine.

I think the main problem with Christians and the Gay community when it comes to this issue is the overbearing concept of the term "lifestyle". To best quite honest there isn't a singular gay lifestyle. Just like there isn't a singular Christian Lifestyle. What we need to remember is that geography and history makes an impact of how lifestyles actually work. A Christian Lifestyle in the Hamptons is not going to be the same as one in Dubia. I think people mix up the terms culture and lifestyle. This would really get to the heart of actually analyzing a culture. How are gay people and how do gay people impact the media? What is common? What has changed? Who are some important figures, both current and old?

From my experience straight people also have this. A lot of stable societies have had this. Also, are you taking women into account as well? Many Lesbian relationships are pretty stable.

Beauty is not dictated. People find specific things beautiful. Its in the eye of the beholder.

I'm not sure what you really mean by this.

This is an argument that is way to layered. Gender roles change based on the needs of society. Also, this is a massive blanket statement because you are now trying to speak on behalf of gay and Christian people on what gender roll ideas are. My question is, what are basing your ideas of Gay male and female gender roles on?

This is another society concept. Materialism crops up whenever societies become stable. In times of hardship, people gravitate towards religion and family. In times where there is wealth and resources, people gravitate towards the material.

This is not a Gay problem or fault, this is a human problem. This goes back to materialism. People want things. When its available, and people can get it, people will flock to it. When times are hard, people make due.

None of the problems you mentioned are actually gay problems, nor should they be blamed on the gays. The reality is the only real difference between a straight person and a gay person, is who they are attracted to. Pretty much it. gay people are a vast group of people. There isn't just one type of gay male or female. Think of all straight people you know, not all straight people act the same. Not All Christians act the same. This can be broken down even more by pointing out music tastes, politics, etc. Same thing with gay people.

These very problems you mentioned seem to be linked more with higher middle class people, in general. The majority of the poor and lower middle class don't have this problem. Just like most poor and lower middle class gay people.

This is something we really need to consider.

I only made it 1 minute into video. It seems like just more conspiracy nonsense that has no real basis in reality. I skipped around the video, and of course there Hitler nonsense, Illuminati, etc.

How about this. Gay people are people. You have the right to think they are wrong and sinful. It may no longer be popular by general public to think this way, but you still have the right to think and stand for that.

I want you to really think about something. What would be a real conclusive point for the US/ the world to be destroyed by the "Gay Agenda" ? What would it accomplish?

Homosexuals are at a higher risk of contracting STIs/STDs, and also other physical harm, such as ruptured colons. Not only is homosexual behavior physically destructive it is spiritually destructive, just as heterosexual fornication is. The spiritual aspect of marriage is spoke about in genesis. A man and woman leave their parents to unite and become one flesh. We are the temple of God and we are to flee from sin, and from sexual immorality. Both the old and New Testament condemn homosexual behavior. Its very new that people try to warp scripture to prove a crooked theology of homosexuality being OK. Homosexuality ends up being a perversion of what sex is supposed to be for human beings. Sin is what separatas us from God. We all sin. The law was to show us we needed a savior. Jacob had a vision. A ladder from heaven to earth with the Lord above and angels descending and ascending upon it. In John the ladder is revealed as Jesus Christ, who is the blessing from Jacob to all families. He is the link between heaven and earth because man cannot do anything himself. Just like babel. Man tried to reach heaven themselves trying to overpower God. They failed and were scattered. Through faith in Christ we become new. Though we may sin, we are lead away from sin. So if a homosexual continues on a life of sin habitually and unconfessed, wouldn't that leave him separated from God until death? If we confess our sins to God we are forgiven. I wish not to judge but merely present truth in love from scripture. Jesus said to the crowd that whoever was without sin to cast the first stone. Yes. But then what did he tell the woman? "You are not condemned. Leave your life of sin". When we confess our sins he is faithful to us, which we are told in the book of 1 John.


Homosexuality, and may forms of promiscuity are portrayed through the media bombarding our youth perpetually, playing on their lusts atvan early age. Even through cartoons is it shown. There are oral sex jokes in <a href"http://www.lasertimepodcast.com/2012/01/13/adult-jokes-in-cartoon-shows-you-never-got/">ed edd and eddy</a>, a show geared toward 7 year olds. Disney is notorious as well for their sexual (as well as occult) subliminals and art. We got young ones such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and more recently Miley Cyrus training our youth from an early age to be lead into rebellion against god through fornication, drugs and sorcery. This only applies to highly sexualy active gay people. This also applies to highly sexually active straight people as well. Gay people don't just randomly walk around and get an STD. I cut out the off topic stuff. Here is the problem. Not everyone is a Christian. Many gay people left Christianity due to the black and white stance on sexuality ( not sex in itself, but about attraction). The only real reason you have for mere attraction being bad is the Bible. I've already mentioned that you can believe that all you want. I don't care. I accept that you think its a sin. However, have you actually talked to anyone who is gay? Mainly because if you actually talked to a few gay people, you'll learn most of them are just like everyone else.

Do you understand what parenting is? The stuff you mentioned on cartoons and disney. Its your job as a parent to instill idea and morals into your child. You as a parent decide what your children watch and listen to. Here in the US people are allowed to watch and listen to whatever they want. Media will sell what sells. You don't want it? Don't buy it or consume it. Its that simple. As parent you are there to explain things. Its not always easy and society isn't going to bend over for ya. Also, read the labels at the grocery store. The FDA make providers label their food.

The reason why I and other yell, not cry, conspiracy is because most of it is based off assumptions or lack of actual knowledge. Its a bunch of Maybes, hunches, ideas, thoeries, etc that rarely if ever have any real evidence. All the videos are the same. Propose a question, quote mine a person, add dramatic music, insert random Bible verse. Rinse repeat.

You want me to believe? Show me credible evidence. Also, groups don't tend to destroy for the pure sake of destruction. There is always a motive. Money doesn't grow on trees, and most of what you mentioned costs money. Someone has to invest. People with that kind of money don't invest blindly.
