Gay News and The Church

I agree, let the Holy Spirit and the Word lead in decisions like that. The Word is so clear and everyone wants to treat the Pastor like he's the bad guy simply because he's the messenger of God's Word. 1 Corinthians 5, God's Word is so clear that it sounds like Big Ben gonging in my head.....what is the lack of communication in understanding what is being said? It's like unless someone has a spoon of sugar with God's Word, then they can't handle it. HE clearly says expel the immoral person.

1 Corinthians 5:5-13

5. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.
8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10. Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters: for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13. But them without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Like on 5:5 to deliver one to satan means that the church must remove the immoral person from its fellowship and to return him to satan's domain....the world. This will, in turn, expose him to the destructive influences of evil and the demonic like in verse 7,13. This discipline has two purposes...that the offender by experiencing problems and physical suffering, may repent and ultimately be save like in Luke 15:11-24, and/or that the church may purge out therefore the old leaven (verse 7 i.e. sinful influences) so that the people of God might become a new bread of sincerity and truth. The same action can be taken by the church today in seeking the salvation of one who has forsaken the christian life and returned to the world like in 1 Timothy 1:20 Everyone is aware that in the Bible "leaven" [sinful influences] yeast which produce fermentation is a symbol of that which permeates the whole and corrupts truth, righteousness, and spiritual life i.e. Mark 8:15. Paul in this passage compares leaven with the process by which sin and wickedness slowly spread in a Christian community until many are corrupted by it. Any church that does not take radical action against sexual immorality among its members will find its evil influence spreading throughout the fellowship and infecting many. Sin must be expelled rigorously, or in time the entire Christian fellowship will be corrupted and the Holy Spirit banished from the church. I mean look at Revelation 2:5 HE clearly says HE will reject any congregation or church and remove it from HIS kingdom if it does not repent of its declining love for and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ....and any time a church tolerates such actions/blatant habitual sin from members or others, is a declining love for HIS Truth and HIM.....no ifs or buts about it. HE discribes those churches and the consequences in Revelations 3, we can't afford to be wishy washy with our salvation, and the presence of the Holy Spirit is far to valuble in church just to kiss it off by down playing sin of any kind in church and running HIM out of the church by corruption. Corruption does not come near what is Holy.

I could go on and on with this subject, and I'm trying not to go down rabbit holes, but just like Alice you seem to get pulled down them.

Kudos HIM,

Good. They should lose their jobs. Homosexual unions are an affront to God and an abomination.

Here's a news update that came straight from the horses mouth, Mr. Obama said in a televised campaign speech last night that Sodomites need acceptance in todays society, the audience went into a frenzy of cheers. The Christian community had better batten down its hatches in our brave new world where good will be evilly spoken of and evil will rule the day, and those of us in Christ that endure to the end shall be saved. Meanwhile in the middle east things have been heating up....

SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi Man Killed Daughter for Converting to Christianity

Recently, a Saudi member of the religious police cut his daughter’s tongue off and burned her to death for converting to Christianity. The father, who works for the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, killed his daughter following a debate on religion, according to a Web story by the United Emirates-based GulfNews.com.

Media organizations in Saudi Arabia are reporting that the victim wrote a blog under the name “Rania†a few days before her murder. According to Gulfnews.com, the victim wrote that her life became an ordeal after family members grew suspicious about her following a religious discussion with them. She said her brother found some Christian articles written by her, as well as a cross sign on her computer screen. Since then, he started to insult her and blamed the Internet for pushing her to change her religion, Gulfnews.com reported.

“Our contacts have told us of new Christians simply disappearing when their families learned of their conversion,†said Todd Nettleton, Director of Media Development for The Voice of the Martyrs, “but now even Arab media outlets confirm the violent response of radical Muslims to Christianity. We pray that someday this man will come to know Christ, and find forgiveness for ending his daughter’s life. Our hope is that someday he will see his daughter again, in heaven.â€Â

The Voice of the Martyrs supports the evangelism efforts of Christians in Saudi Arabia, despite the great cost.

“We call on Christians everywhere to pray for believers facing intense persecution in Saudi Arabia because of their faith,†said Nettleton. “Pray God will encourage them and give them boldness to stand up for Christ.â€Â

Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
