George Floyd and the Liberal Lynch Mob

Sorry I don't have the link. Even if it was counterfeit it did not deserve dying over. It was just money. My son was in a store once and had an argument with the security guard. My son called the police. They arrested my son. One of the cops turned to my son about his partner, "You picked a fight with the wrong cop. I will walk you in myself or he will hurt you." God with my son that night and all the other times.

I used to tell my son I understood discrimination because I was fat and back in the sixties you had to be slim to be a secretary. True story. My son turned to me and said, "Mom you can lose weight. I cannot turn white."

Watch the move American So to understand what I went through as the mother of a black man. It took all my strength and God's help.

I am leaving this thread for now as I want to pray that the peaceful protestors stay and the looters get arrested. I want to call my son. I will check in later. Thanks for letting me share my story. Thank God for God.

i agree sad to say we have them in both races stirring racism up . i told a black young man today there is no need in racism slavery is over. no man has/had the right to own a slave . yes we had the wallace days of racism . young people have the opportunity to excel . the pied piper is playing his flute the spiritual nero is playing the fiddle as buildings burn. the devil as a roaring lion is walking about seeking whom he may devour . the spirit of antichrist is at work with the god of this world blinding them so they will follow

I studied slavery in college. I wanted to understand black history because I had a black child. The actual ownership of black people may be over but the systemic racism is still here. And where are you seeing it most is in the police departments. The moment the police realize they have hired a violent racist he should be fired. This man had eighten complaints against him by black people and they did not fire him until now. Trust me on this. To black people slavery is not over. Emotionally and mentally they feel enslaved. It's very hard to explain. I listen to my son and I try to understand but I'm white and I can't understand the black experience.

I know this is an awful thing to say. People in the upper echelons of this country don't pay any attention to protesters. These people are not Christians and they love their property. Until you take their property you don't get their attention. But in going after the right people many innocent people get hurt. That's why I am firmly against looting of any kind. Two wrongs don't make a right

I just wanted to remind people that 28 years ago there was a video of Rodney King being beaten by the police. They were all acquitted. So you have to ask yourself has there been change. The answer is in some places there has and in other places there hasn't apparently. So I am praying for more change as it is progress not perfection. I hope I am not offending anyone. But I wanted to share my experience. I'm old now but it seems like this has been going on my whole life. So I'm praying for everyone involved

As for shooting looters. That is part of the problem in the world today. Property means more to us than lives. A robber is shot dead. I used to love money. But then I found Christ I gave my money away to my orphans in Kenya. Please do not equate property and money with a human life.

One more thing. If you're watching Fox News you really don't know what's going on. They are actually spreading misinformation like he robbed the store. If I ever tried to use a counterfeit bill they would have asked me where I got it. They wouldn't have arrested . I have been in arguments with black people. When the police arrive they always treat me differently and they always take my side.

One of the posters mentioned law-abiding working people. Black people do work. I worked side-by-side with black people for 35 years. But when my son graduated from college with an MBA and could not find a job I learned a few things. He was told he was too ethnic. He was told he was too tall and that he was too scary because he had long hair. He was asked to sign a contract with a Wall Street firm committing to 4 years and he found out later he was the only one that they asked to sign. I could go on and on about this job thing. But it is not all that easy to find a job unless you're a black person who has a middle class demeanor

The protesters were marching past my window. I went down to talk to them. They're mostly young. All different races. A lot of white people. I went down to talk to them and one of them said that they were white but they grew up with black people and they didn't want to see the police hurt them. So maybe we have made progress with the initiation of integration. God help us all

If they are charged, then what?

Will anyone be charged for the millions of dollars in damage to local businesses?

Destroying police cars, and property?

I wonder what would happen if every time a white cop was shot by a black gang member, if cops in every city just started killing black people at random?

I‘m fed up with the whole fake narrative that black citizens are oppressed.

It’s a media driven narrative to keep this nation divided.

Well, I was going to say that we cannot equate loss of property to loss of life, but that was before to federal security contractors were shot down. Now I say each governor needs to take all necessary steps to bring this to an end as this is not subsiding, but getting worse.
I do believe the other officers committed involuntary manslaughter and should be arrested same as anyone else who committed such a crime would be.
As far as blacks go. We disagree. Most blacks still reside, geographically speaking, in the same general area as the plantations were back when there was slavery. Most live in abject poverty with no hope of getting out of there. The few blacks who are seen as articulate, well educated and financially successful are shown as to be the norm. This is not the rule. They are the fortunate exception who have made it.

i call them criminals if my neighbor ticked me off and i burnt his house.. I WOULD HAVE multiple charges filed against me. there is so many things wrong with this. the courts will have a hard time with charges . lets face it the law is favorable toward the protesters imo and i am not a law enforcement officer. a investigation over a fake 20.00 bill. does not warrant a gun being pulled . sometimes this probable cause = i smelled marijuana . which is saying i need to make up a excuse .granted the victim should have cooperated .i do have doubts the ink was running of the 20.00 bill . i seen obama called for justice ..he needs to keep his nose out of it
Comparing murder to ticked off neighbor? Really? Come on man. Snap out of it.

I know a lot of people have been asking why the officers have not been arrested. I keep replying that a 10 minute video may not necessarily be enough for a conviction. The incident is under investigation by the BCA and FBI and particularly when law enforcement officers are involved it is critically important to cross all t's and dot all i's before filing charges. This isn't a television program. Things happen a little slower in real life.

One of my neighbors is a retired defense attorney. I asked him the question to get his expertise. Here's our conversation.

Hi Neil.
I have a question I think you can answer. With the situation in Mnpls, why didn't those police officers get arrested and either charged or held pending charges based on the video evidence? I would expect that if I was video taped doing something that resulted in the death of another, I would be arrested. Can you explain please?

Here is his reply.

Cops are authorized to use force to make arrests and subdue people, and the authorization is “reasonable force” but includes the use of deadly force. Thus, it is a much more difficult line to define and determine what amount of force was reasonable in any given situation. Many factors go into that determination. Same as for us, the level of threat to our or cop safety, the actions of the suspect, the nature or method of force used, etc.

Kneeling on the neck isn’t an approved use of force by mpls department training and internal rules, but that alone doesn’t make it an unreasonable force, just makes it
more difficult for the cop to argue it was reasonable as a defense if he is on trial.

And thus also, if or when it finally goes to trial, it is a much grayer line to define and prove to a jury (typically) than it would be for us, as our line for use of force is much more restrictive and narrowly set out.
Sounds like an overly generous system for abusive cops. The victim had no such system protecting him.

America started out as a way to prosper and make money. In the South to make money they brought in slaves. Property was everything. Today we still make property more important than anything else. Property is worth money so this is really about money and things. I used to have a lot of material things and I loved to shop. A couple of years ago I gave away everything I owned and moved into a small room in the church. I've never been happier. I have no storage fees. I don't have to clean house and dust things off. I don't have to worry about being robbed. When I do get money I send it to the orphans in Kenya. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with money or property I'm just saying that the love of Money it's the root of something that's not very good. With black people this is a sensitive issue. They see all these advertisements on TV. And they want some of the stuff. In Africa in the village I sponsor everybody is so happy because they don't have television sets and they don't know what they're missing. What I'm trying to say is that we have to prioritize. Our money and property has to be less important thn other things like a human life. We need to learn to share our toys. No I'm not a socialist. Not really

The man who shot the security guards are criminals. And believe me when they are caught they will probably go to jail for the rest of their lives. But the man who killed George Floyd will probably be acquitted. At least that's what happened with Rodney King and the last few cases like this. We need equality. And we really don't have it yet but I do believe we have made progress

Looters need to be shot who choose to destroy the lives and livelihoods of hard working citizens in a community.

Well maybe my shock emoji is unwarranted. Just a year or 2 ago. The people harassing us called in a tow truck one night to tow away our son's newly paid off truck from our driveway. As he sat there trying to draw up enough courage to do the dirty deed, I turned off all the outside lights and grabbed my shotgun. I told my wife and son I loved them, but this stops right here right now. After the truck driver lost his nerve, he drove down to the end of the street. I told my wife and son that if he brings copmafia to back him up then to go in the house and don't look out as there will be a blood bath. They backed down. Praise God. We all have a line that is not to be crossed and each must make that decision for themselves.

The roots of property ownership run deep in this country. The first colony in Jamestown was a commune. Everybody was supposed to work and put their share into the community for others to share. They practically starved to death. So the leader said okay I'm going to give you each piece of your own property to sink or swim. The hard workers began to prosper. The lazy people went hungry. There is still a stigma against people who don't work. They're really held in disdain. I felt this when I was on disability. I'm not saying this is a bad thing what I'm saying is we are really passionate in this country about property in this country. It's a gift and is also a curse. It makes you feel good when you have it and it makes you feel bad when you don't have it . If you do have it you're a good person. If you don't have it you're a bad person. You're lazy. You don't want to work. Jesus didn't own any property.
