i believe that according to my bible Gods desire is to save men then also heal them and set them apart and also prosper them(this doesnt mean megawealth)
but we shouldnt be so poor all the time and not have a decent job.

what. that is what the lord does he not?
unless you want to get into divine healing.
and that i will adress.as its part of the situation and things we are promised according to some.
yes, your understanding of the character of God and His goodness is showing great signs of improvement young grasshoppa...tee hee hee hee hee hee hee!!!
you said He wants to save men and heal them. how does that differ from divine healing? <scratches head inquisitively>
do keep in mind that i merely forgot this, that i was taught this a long time ago.
its my testimony!
because why would Paul have to say that when he prayed for the healing of timothy and was grievous unto death with much sorrow and that timothy was healed by the mercy of God.
that cast much doubt on the always gonna be healed line of thinking (if thou hast the faith).
i wasnt arrogant in that statement, i hope.
we often forgot things from time to time.
and yes you do remind me of the forgotten things.
Here's me laying on a couch in a therapist's office..
"And then Jason said... :shocked!"
Where did this come from, Jason?
Hi, Faith. :waving It's been a long time. No, I'm not going to get into this discussion again. I'm just chiming in to react to Jason's 180 on the subject. I mean... this came out of no where.
Hey Mike!! nice to see you again too!! great to be back on cf!! and wherever there's prosperity talk, you know you'll find me there lol : )
jason is right though, he always knew these things to be true, i think he just got so turned off by all the FALSE prosperity and blessing teachings that he shunned it almost entirely for a while. there IS a lot of false doctrine on prosperity out there, but there's also a lot of biblical backing in regard to God's desire to prosper us. the Word tells us to be moderate, or balanced, in all things and prosperity is no exception. my pastor preaches prosperity but never without warning of its pitfalls. as i was saying to jason earlier, money is a GREAT TOOL in the hands of a cheerful giver. without it we cannot feed the poor or send out missionaries or do almost any other work of the kingdom. i think everyone can agree that the more we can get these things done, with the necessary use of money, the better. its the LOVE of money that's the root of all evil, and you can commit THAT sin without a dime to your name!!!

Good to have you back. We'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't have the stamina (or the desire) to get into long debates anymore.
See ya around! :yes
Good post!
lol i don't really care to debate much anymore either mike, but i like to share what i believe to be true based on scripture & want everyone else to also. iron sharpens iron, and as bull-headed as i can be i really want to know if im seeing something the wrong way. if someone here can show me that then i'm most appreciative as i want to rightly divide the Word : )
