What should be a warning to all of us, is don't use the Bible to glorify your own prejudices and sin. Bible knowledge can be the very opposite of the real Christian message.

You are quoting just Old Testament. It's like you are purposefully doing that. Jesus has taken the Old Testament and wrapped it in Love and that is what we are to do as children of God. God is the only one who can judge. If you are Christian you know that our command is to love one another and love our enemies even.

It all depends on who Jesus was talking to and the time of the discussion. The Gospels are of a time period of law. Jesus was under the law of Moses and spoke to a people under the law of Moses.

When Jesus came proclaiming the Kingdom of God, He was proclaiming an Old Testament truth to Israel. When He laid down the rules of that Kindom, (Matt. 5-7), also known as the Sermon on the Mount, He was not laying down the rules for the future Church. It was for the Kingdom where Christ is literally on the earth ruling in Israel over the world.

Do not try and make the Christian walk under the laws of the Kingdom. They are just as impossible, if not more so, then the laws of Moses.

If I've sounded hateful, that was not my intention. I keep trying to get you to see the "love thy enemy" statement and it is not something you are down for, so I don't know what else I can say. Like I told Quantrill, this convo is taking a lot out of me and I need to leave.

You are correct. He did really say that. But we must keep in mind that who He is talking to are under law. And the laws of the Kingdom are just that...law.

Consider this verse. (Romans 15:8) "Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers."
