I am new to this forum. I really dont think that anyone really cares that much about me, and I dont think that anyone but the adminstrators will actually read this post, but I thought that I would tell you a little bit about myself.
I have been a christian for about 38 years now. I have spent about 8,000 hours studying the bible over the years. I have read the entire bible from gen to rev several times, and am very familier with the scriptures.
When I was twenty years old I decided to do something very drastic. I was hearing different opinions on different subjects by different people. One said that we could not lose our salvation. another said we could. one said that we have no free choice, another said we did. so I decided to throw out everthing that I had learnded up to that point and start all over again. I then went from Gen. to revelations making up my own personnel concordance as I went, and then once that task was completed I started to put the scriptures into a logical order. I came up with a few treatises on a few subjects, and over 100 bible studies.
Along the way, I discovered that much of main stream theology that is taught in many churches is not Biblical! There is much false doctrines being taught in the churches. Many pastors that I have seen are not interested in telling the truth to their congregations. they are only interested in two things: 1. Power. They want to be a pastor for as long as they can, thus they compromise the word of God and preach sermons that will be acceptable to the vast majority of his congregation. 2. Money. They will do everything that they can to keep people giving money to them!
Anyway. I believe that the Bible is the final authority on all christian doctrine and practices. For the Bible gives us the very definition of what christianity is, and it gives us the gospel of God that can save us from Hell!

I agree many churches teach things that are not of the Bible.
