I've heard some very positive comments about this site from a number of members here who my dear brothers and sisters. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul. Hopefully, a good Christian bond of fellowship can be available for me to join the forum. Thanks for the opportunity. God bless you!

As the site's administrator, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. There's a brief mention of my retired former career on my profile, but the background of my faith and doctrinal beliefs overextended 420 characters. They had to be committed.

I came and gave my public confession of Jesus as Son of God Saviour at the age of 12, then immersion baptized at that time. Four years later being 16, I made a deeper devotion of servitude before the Lord. This was during The Jesus People Movement.

The faith during my younger days was fundamentalist Protestant evangelical. This being Church of Christ with my Mom's family and Free Will Baptist on my Dad's side. I've attended and was active in a number of churches, now non-denominational.

My moral, ethical, and spiritual standpoint in faith is being a non-smoker, I do not consume alcoholic beverages and am adamantly against illicit substances. I also am an advocate and spokesperson for Senior Rights, formerly a medically trained care-provider.

That would be Mr. Bojangles by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, in 1974. It was also covered by Sammy Davis Jr. and even Bob Dylan if you can believe it. I did hear Dylan's version once and though I respect Bob as an artist, lyricist, great composer, and Pulitzer Prize winner, one time was plenty for me! There are many other Dylan songs I really admire a lot, however. Mom and I were always fond of him and the fact that being Jewish he did accept Christ.

Jesus the Messiah in Hebrew is, Yoshuah H'Mashiach. Bob Dylan was bar mitzvahed in 1954.

Thanks for the warm greetings. Yes, I also did like Mr. Bojangles. It is a rather sad song about a down-and-outer who had more than a little problem with liquor. I more or less did a slight adaptation of this adding what Cajun/French is in my heritage = boy, which in Cajun is, Beau. Also adding Jangles because I love the sound of a Rickenbacker electric guitar for the ring and jangle to it. God bless you, brother! Thank you again for welcoming me to the forum.

Sorry about your login issues. If you have a Facebook account, just use that and you'll never have to remember your own again. Plus, we now have an app for the site that you can use.

We share similar stories. I came to Christ and was baptized at 13. I strayed for a few years, but God called me back 23 years ago. Ironically, I was a member of the church of Christ for the past 22 years. Last Jan my wife ( raised in the church of Christ) and I left the church for a non denominational church. Covid hit and we started going to the only church open which is charasmatic . A complete opposite to the cofc.

Hi Tessa,

Thank you for welcoming me into the forum and this family of believers in Christ Jesus. I have experienced this sort of thing before and it's not an uncommon occurrence. Yes, I did try changing the password. Here's what my dreadful mistake could have happened. I have this user on two other sites, with using the two names together in caps and also on one like this one and also separated.

My "biggie" was probably this, but I'm not certain. I accidentally saved the password with my Microsoft account. So, uh-oh. Not a good idea if using a different password. I tried that password also, but it wasn't working either. Well, I tried. If I save the email message getting into the site in a "back-door" kind of way, it's not a problem. Trying to log from the homepage so far is defaulting endlessly.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it looks like I'm toast. No Facebook account nor did I ever have one. All my friends are but I never did get into that media. Not that they didn't try to convince me. I never did get on there and I've gotten scrutinized for communications with them because of it. It's not intentional, surely. It's just the way things are. My computer is an older style, but I could try an app to see if that works. I only wish there was a way to fix this glitch without it being so problematic. Oh, well.
 
Welcome Beau Jangles. Hope to know you better. I love hearing about Christians who were saved when they were young. I came to the Lord at a very young age myself. Too young to remember when. So, I really do not have any dramatic testimony to share how I came to know the Lord. As a result, I met some Christians who doubted my salvation. I have no problem with that. I do not doubt that I am in the Lord and he is in me. At the age of 7, I was speaking in tongues, by the age of 10, I was preaching to my classmates about Jesus dying for our sins, and was the first time I read the bible from Genesis to Revelation. At least, I remember that!

Oh, backslide and became religious for sometime, especially during my secondary school days, but the Lord called me back again during my teenage years.

Though not quoting your testimonial in totality, I certainly found it very encouraging. Some coming to Christ in younger years haven't a dynamic salvation story because they were quite young, But, I think it's wonderful that you had such precious experiences. This is apparent as I was reading over it. Praise the Lord! You were preaching Jesus to your classmates? Wow! That is fantastic! Thank you for the welcome. God bless you!

What is still very vivid in my head was that while I was reading the bible, I came across where Jesus died for our sins. I am not sure where in the bible I found it. I remember crying because Jesus died for me and felt I must go and tell my classmates. I have the picture in my head of telling someone just in front of the classroom, but that was it. I cannot remember what I said or how I said it. I cannot even remember how that kid or kids responded.

I am very passionate about children coming to the Lord at a very young age. Some parents underestimate their children and think that they will not understand the love of God or whether they could have a relationship with God. Children have very strong imagination and can easily believe anything they hear about the existence of God.

It's apparent I have yet to get the hang of how to do portion and total quotes including interchanging them without invading posts here. It may take me a bit to know how to do posting correctly in the way f of the format, so thank you all for bearing with me.

Anyway, this is also a wonderful add-on to your reply and let me say that it's edifying for me reading over many of the things I'm scanning through. The Holy Spirit was leading the simplicity of your youthful trust and guiding all your steps from what I'm ascertaining.

This was coming by a pure an inspirational movement and the Lord had you as His instrument of love. That is so precious to Him. What Jesus has so close in his heart are these His handmaidens. It's a marvelous thing how they are used in such compassion and mercy.

They are special to Him. Know and understand this. Handmaidens of the Lord, you are held in an embrace of closeness that far exceeds comprehension. As they followed after Christ the Messiah during His time over 2,000 years ago, they minister to and for Him now.

This is a wonderfully Godly site, and the ADMINISTRATION leaders here are incredibly GODLY and LOVING and PATIENT.

We do have a lot in common with our church affiliations. How very cool to share this with you and I feel even more at ease being more open concerning my personal doctrinal beliefs. What attracted me to a closer walk with the Lord was when Mom started seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and began attending a congregation advocating the indwelling of His Presence.

The kids at that church all befriended me and I wanted what I had not previously known. Yes, I desired this with intense longing. They all had the Holy Ghost. All I can say in concluding this is it has been the most precious closeness where fulfillment was finally found. It made all the difference in the world to me. Praise the Lord, brother! I feel accepted in the body of Christ here. Wow!

P.S. The sign-in issues glitches are all fine now. They commonly occur being a newbie.
