I'm a new member here and have already posted in the devotional section of the forum, so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself, before I post again. I'm a retired Chief Legalman, U. S. Navy, with over 20 years of honorable service to my country. Married to the love of my life for 53 years. Live in Western New York. Accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior in 1973. I am young at heart, love the Lord, I teach the adult Sunday school class for the past 40 years and I'm the clerk for our church. My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-9.

Hi S
Proverbs 3:5-6 is also my favorite OT verse.
I love your introduction.
Welcome and blessings be upon you .

Thank you all for such a warm welcome to the forum. I'm also looking forward to sharing scripture together. I did enjoy my time in the U. S. Navy, and service to the Country that I love. My naval career provided my family the opportunity to visit many unique places in countries we never would have visited as civilians. We had the privilege of living in Hawaii, Italy, Iceland, and Puerto Rico. We also had the opportunity to visit places like Athens, Greece; Isle of Capri, Rome, Florence, and Venice within Italy; Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, Spain; St. Thomas and St. Croix of the Virgin Islands.

Blessings to each one of you and have a great weekend in the Lord.

Hey S,
We have travel in common!
Been to, also with my family,
Italy, Puerto Rico, Athens, Capri, Rome, Florence, Venice, Barcelona, St. Thomas.
And many other places.

I think travel is great for kids...opens up the mind.

I believe you'll be a valued member and we look forward to your postings, of which I already see some.
:)

Greetings and blessings to you with thanksgiving for your service, both to our nation but more importantly, to the Lord. Your introduction warmed my heart, and we are probably in the same generation. I'm in my mid-60's and have an older brother almost ten years my senior (as you sound like you are from about his time), so I can relate to past times in the 60's and 70's. 1973 was a good year for me with wonderful memories. I too, have taught adult SS. I have lately gravitated to Messianic type faith and the observance of the Sabbath, but by the same token I understand Christians all over the world have understanding as the Lord gave to them. I still go to a church that celebrates Sunday. As a laugh, I call myself "Sir Isaac Newton lite" as my interests are the same as his was, and I am maybe a bit too obsessed about time as he was, thus my gravitating to Sabbath and Levitical 23 feast days. As a hobby, I calculate and make sundials. LOL Good to hear from you.
