Not with THAT mustache!
:lol

No it's just a disguise the mustache, visual propaganda to draw people into a false belief that i am a man. In reality im really a....child :lol.. Im just playing around

But u know what it's like these days, a big woolly mustache is just a social construct and does not indicate my gender, apparently. That's modern mainstream logic now

Remember the winner of Euro vision song contest a few years a go?
A man with a beard wearing a dress with heels, make up and the rest...
Im not even going to post a pic cos it actually makes me nauseous and dizzy
:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud:thud

You must have some Italian DNA in you!

Ah il spiducci... hehehe... Hmmm...
Cute little lamb but u taste soooooo goooood. It can be a moral dilemma for a lot of people thats why I looked to the bible to see what God says.

And God says, in the bible, that he loves spiducci as well... LoL
But seriously the bible endorses the consumption of lamb so im at peace with it

I have a few friends from Italian backgrounds and other backgrounds. We share and enjoy each others traditions of our parents to one another, u know.
The Italian language and culture is almost the same as Portuguese

Oh and don't even get me started on Italian deli goods, yum...
Italians rule the deli...
So expensive that it's well worth making home made salami at least i think

U could say i have some Roman DNA
Their DNA would be scattered all over Europe, especially the south

I did a DNA test about a year ago
I was curious to see if they really could tell where i was from
The results were very interesting and consistent with my genealogy. Spot on really

Also u know how u asked me not to call u signora. Thats all good

But I just wanted to be clear that I wasn't making fun of u or anything, on the contrary it's an acknowledgement that this person is more experienced than me and wiser than me and therefore deserves not only my respect but my keen attention, to learn from

For example im 42yo but I still refer to the friends of my parents as senhor .... and senhora.... as we would spell it. In the work place i'll usually be the only person that calls Fred Mr Thompson

It's just how I was raised but i understand how it can make people feel uncomfortable.
I get called sir at the grocery store and im biting my lip reminding myself to smile cos that person is being courteous

Anyway i just thought id drop that so that there is no misunderstanding

I see things are the same all over the world.

I have to agree with your opinion of Italian deli goods. Yummy.
We try not to eat too many, but when we do.....it's a feast.

Yeah,,,God says it's OK to eat lamb..
and He even said to finish it all up!

But that was 4,000 years ago...
He's changed His mind recently...
:helmet

Happy Easter from an Eastern Orthodox Christian! ☦ Blessed Pascha!
Happy Easter to you too!
It's the Orthodox Easter here too...
and tomorrow is also celebrated -- it's called Pasquetta, the little Easter.

We celebrated last Sunday,,but every Sunday should be resurrection Sunday.
Jesus' resurrection is the reason we celebrate....
and He has been resurrected forever!

Do you make this cake? (not YOU personally)

I agree that every Sunday should be resurrection Sunday (every day actually) but what exactly is Orthodox Sunday anyways?

Catholics and other Christians celebrate Easter on a different Sunday than the Orthodox faith.

We celebrated last Sunday,,, and the Orthodox are celebrating Easter today.
This is due to the split in about the year 1,000 from the Catholic church.

This might help...dating Easter is not the easiest thing to understand,,,I used to
have to explain it to older kids, and I'm really happy I don't have to anymore!

Same Easter, Different Day
In Nicea, the council thought they had finalized a universal date for Easter, however, what they didn't count on was a split in the church that occurred in 1054. The Great Schism of 1054 became the dividing point for the church. The Roman Empire had already divided itself into the Eastern (Byzantine) and Western (Roman) Empires and even though the church tried to maintain its universal role it soon divided as well. Not only did the Eastern and Western halves form their own separate empires, but they also chose their own emperors and eventually their own head of the church. The fight over the rule of the church was the final straw, and the church was divided into the Catholic and Orthodox Church.

Although the churches were split among several doctrinal views, they both still believed Easter should be celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon to follow the vernal equinox. The Catholic Church, however, no longer found that it had to fall after Passover. Added to this was the Catholic Church's switch over from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar, which was presented in 1582. The Orthodox Church still held to the original Nicean Council's formula for Easter as well as following the original calendar system of the Julian calendar. By using two different calendar systems, the vernal equinox now fell on March 21 under the Gregorian calendar and April 3 on the Julian calendar. The two churches now celebrated the same Easter holiday on two different days.

I don't exactly know what that cake is, but it does resemble something that is rather popular around here called "cozonac". It's basically a type of sweet leavened bread that people either prepare at home or buy from the stores. It's particularly popular during Easter and Christmas feasts.

Grandma used to bake this when I was a child, but she died several years ago, and we just purchase it from the store cause no one has the time to bake in my household.

Yes,,, that would be it.
It could be made different ways:
with cocoa or with dried fruit.
A girl I know makes it at home and
brings me some. She's from Romania..
I forget the town.
