Have you ever been drunk?

Drunk? More than my share in youth. Nowadays i dont go through more than one bottle of wine in a sitting.

Ephesians 5:18
Ephesians 5:19
About every 4 weeks someone in our Sunday school class wants to know what what the writers of certain Bible passages were on. Of course after I mention the lavers being our kidneys; they know I have been into something. I just love seeing wheels within wheels.

Both. I prefer the latter spirit which is Holy. White lightning will just about take the hide off your throat, but Holy Spirit allows you to remember the experience ( bringing into remembrance).

The few times I have been drunk I really wasn't planning on it, and don't really like the feeling. Now, I will only have a couple beers or cocktails at most when I do drink, and that is only sparingly.

Being poor helps with the reduction of alcohol intake.

This guy took me out once and his friend thought it was an advantage to the guy I was dating to keep spiking my drink when I was not looking.I vomited in his truck :biggrin2

:lol

Drunk, yes.....:bathNot in many, many years now, thank the Lord. Don't like the feeling that one might get out of control, that's scary.

Some 30 yrs. ago there was an old gentleman cowboy here, he made what he call Colorado Lemonade. That stuff would sneak up on people, one minute they were fine and the next, whoa. I found out that about 30 years before that he had had a still in his basement. It blew up and burned his house down!

Yeah, but the thread has the potential to bring up some stories we can all laugh at, Like Kathi hurling in that guys truck after they spiked her drinks. :rofl2

Yeah that's true.
Bring up the good intoxication stories!!!

So what's your best drunkeness story you can remember, Obadiah?

I can't provide any story of that kind. Every time I got wasted (and I've gotten wasted *a lot*) my stomach could still handle itself.
But when I'm drunk I usually get really emotional and realise how much I am in love with everything and everyone. :lol A few times when I was drunk I called people I had conflicts with and actually solved that conflict while drunk... or at least we declared our willingness to resolve it. Usually it didn't last after I sobered up.

Luke 7:47
More like cry at times. It says confess your sins one to another. Public confession in detail may cause stories to go where they can hurt.

Sometimes it's OK to enjoy a little humor, but I guess we need to include a disclaimer:

"Neither the members nor staff of CF.NET are advocating nor supporting the violation of the Biblical principle of avoiding alcoholism nor do we encourage anyone to drink any alcohol at all if they feel that it will harm their personal relationship with the Lord in any way."

I am sure there are people who have never been drunk or drank alcohol.
Yeah, maybe those below legal drinking age.
Although.... never mind. Most kids seem to consider legal drinking age only a suggestion.

My three favorites use to be:
A glass of white zinfanel wine
A glass of ice cold hefewiezen beer
A really good margarita
I have not drank in years so two sips would probably send my on my behind.

Well who HASN'T ever been drunk?!?
ME, I would rather die and be sent to hell then to get drunk, I haven't had one can of beer, I hate beer, and alcohol. when I saw what beer does to men. and what a particular drunk that raped my sister. I decided that isn't what I wanted.

Alcohol is very damaging to the body when done in excess. In fact I read recently it is more damaging than smoking.

in excess, yes but not In moderation. my wife drinks once in a while.

The Bible does not say you should not drink it says you should not get "drunk".
I know that.i have a personal reason why I eschew beer and being saved had nothing to do with that and still doesn't. its not a temptation to me. im not a legalist or prohibitionist on this. though most don't drink in moderation. my reason is as I said.
