Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."

What do you suppose will happen to those who oppose God's words and will given by the ministry of the Spirit? Even those who are in name Christians, but in deeds truly hinder the ministry by hindering those who are anointed and sent by the Lord to be ministers for Him. For example, like Diotrephes in the third epistle of John, who hindered the ministry of the disciples of the Lord because he loved to have the preeminence among the church?

Mark 9:35
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

To be a servant of God in Christ is to be a loser, a servant in last place, in the eyes of the world.

Oddly enough, I've been praying on the verse the OP brought up.

Well...the way I see it...people on the broad road have all kinds of ideologies, dogmas, beliefs, outlooks, etc. to offer. Some of them are quite appealing (I lean towards progressivism myself...).

But, at the end of the day...people are people. Nobody but Christ can save you, forgive you, and genuinely change you. Those who reject The Lord sometimes seem to be on opposing teams and such, but that's just an illusion. They're all in and of the world, on the broad road that leads unto destruction. The progressives are just as hell-bound as the GOP-ers, as the Marxists...on and on it goes.

I've been praying on this because of my growing awareness that no worldly wisdom will benefit me, much less save me. Even when it seems counter-intuitive or...just not so great...following Christ, allowing Him to guide my steps, is the way to go. Everybody in the world either says "yes" to Christ or "yes" to themselves, what they want. Those who say "yes" to Christ become fundamentally different from those who remain in and of the world.

Rambling...I've only had --1-- cup o joe thus so far, so please bear with me. :)

Judgement is easy, but according to each one walking in Christ according to grace and knowledge their level of submission to God is different.
I will ask you: what is God's will for you, His work for us, and what we're to do to obtain that? Thanks.

Yes Jesus also showed how the Gentiles liked to lord over others, but he said it was not to be so with his disciples....

Mark 10:42-44 "But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all."

In the OT it was the Gentiles who were considered the uncircumcised in the flesh, but in a spiritual sense it is the uncircumcised in heart and ears that also resist the Holy Spirit, as did those of the priesthood and of the early church (synagogue) who thought they were doing God's service. But in reality they were truly hindering the ministry, even persecuting and killing those whom God had sent to minister in His name, like Stephen.

Acts 7:51-52 "Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

God's will for me is to be a fellow laborer with Christ, to take those talents He has given me by the Spirit for the ministry and edification of the body of Christ, and to gain the more. To be a gatherer for Him, not a scatter-er working against Him, to bring forth good fruit by the power of God, which in turn will also glorify the name of the Father and the Son.

John 15:8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Ideally we, Christians, are all one in Christ.

Thanks :thumbsup
Ideally perhaps, but not all who say they are of Christ are truly "in Christ". You will know them by their fruits, or lack thereof. :)

Luk_6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

It reminds me of Isa.54:
For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, Saith the Lord..
In righteousness shalt thou be established, thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by Me, whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Behold, I have created the Smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work, and I have created the waster to destroy.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord...

Also the song of Moses...Deut.32:30
How should one Chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?
For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom , and of Gomorrah, their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter.
Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.......

And He shall say, Where are their gods,
their rock in whom they trusted?.

Let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

Also reminds me of Rev.16:16
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon..

"Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.......

That verse above you posted reminds me of Jesus speaking about the "serpents and generation of vipers" being those who are of the serpents seed. They also hindered others from entering into the Kingdom as well.

Matthew 23:11-13
"But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in."

If we are not walking in Gods will then we are not walking in obedience to His commands as we would not have Christ in us, but only give lip service to the Lord as we would be walking in our own will that leads to the broad path of destruction and a one way ticket to the lake of fire, Matthew 7:21-23; 2Peter Chapter 2.
