Do you think that "for the old order of things have passed away" means that when we get to heaven we will have no recollection of our life on Earth?But we will know those who were Christians and believers who are already in heaven.

I believe we'll remember everything perfectly. Remembering those things that once brought pain only historically, and also those things that brought joy. I believe they will all be etched somewhere as a memorial. I don't have Scripture for that. I just feel it in my gut.

How could we remember everything when their is no sorrow and tears on heaven?Some of our Earthly experiences were probably pretty sad.

Memory without the pain. When a war is won, slaughter ceases and the air is still. Losses are remembered. When death ceases, and the last soul enters glory, there are no more wars. The old order passes away. Pain and tears are associated with the old order. The events are associated with history. Maybe I'm wrong. I am speculating. I guess only God knows.

Slightly off topic, but my question would be, when family and friends die and go to heaven, do they still remember and think about you?

Proverbs 14
12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Proverbs 3
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Isaiah 65
17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

Something to ponder.

Sadface.
Makes me think of this anime series where the world ends, and even though those in the new world were also part of the old world, they didn't remember a thing about it.

I would say absolutely yes! I always feel closer to beloved saints gone home. I remember what Christ said when he was leaving his disciples--you should be glad I am going to the Father!

That is speculation....only God knows that.

Yes, those words are secure. My words are like chaff.

What are your thoughts concerning Isaiah's words?

Isaiah 65
17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;

Give me a minute and I'll look it over. It appears very clear I am wrong. Let me look at the context.

Nothing wrong with being wrong. I've been wrong about many things. It's how we learn.

depending on ones view on end times that is either a reference to the millennium or the recreation of the earth.

That knowledge God gives us such as when Peter saw Elias and Moses on the mount of transfiguration, and knew who they were despite having never seen them is something I believe God will allow us all to know when we are with Jesus. Do I believe when in heaven we worry about those left? No I do not as we have no instances of such recollections from the saints on high.

Isa_65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

There are Christian religions that have doctrines believing in the value of intercommunication with departed saints, and I’m not sorry to say I do not believe their testimonies. I do know we serve a God of grace that can look past our ignorance and realize Who we are really attempting to reach in prayer, and hears us. Why would we ever go anywhere but to our Father on His throne of grace when we have an open invitation; Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Blessings in Christ Jesus.

Indeed, past troubles will be hidden even from God's eyes v. 16. If God doesn't see them, surely there's not any trace of them. I was certainly in error.

Proverbs 27
17 As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
