Heaven is repentance:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

[1] In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
[2] "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 3:1-2 RSV

[5] These twelve Jesus sent out, charging them, "Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans,
[6] but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[7] And preach as you go, saying, `The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” Matt 10:7-7 RSV

I’ve learned that repentance isn’t necessarily easy. I get terribly bored sometimes, and when I do, I find it challenging to resist temptation. In my own particular case, I’ve discovered a big reason I get bored is that I get fatigued. I’ve had to make the decision to give something up in my life that I’ve enjoyed, because it was draining me of too much energy. It was like taking a big weight off my shoulders.

Repentance is the easy part as staying in Gods will at times becomes the difficult part at times as the flesh always wants to take over that of the Spirit.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Heaven is repentance:
Those passages are a call to repentance because the kingdom of heaven was at hand but that does not mean that heaven is repentance.

The initial act of repentance isn't so hard. We might repent because we are displeased with our lives, and repentance seems to be the way to fix that. Continuing to resist temptation over a period of time can be a challenge, though. I went twenty years where I didn't have much of a problem with temptation, but then in 2008, temptation suddenly became much more powerful.

You will find that once you repent, you have peace.

I interpret that last phase as "but the mind is weak."
Repent = to change the mind

So for me the repenting part is the difficult part. I just get where I think I have truly completed repented time goes by and zap. Yike!
If I had really changed my mind I wouldn't even want to do that same thing again. :bricks

Sure, but that does not mean that heaven is repentance. Repentance is necessary to get to heaven, along with some other things, but heaven is not repentance.

I think it is and I think that is what Jesus was telling us here:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

He wanted us to repent so that we could find our for ourselves. The peace I experience when I am resisting temptation is beyond description.

Let's break down what Jesus said so that you can see clearly what Free is saying.

Jesus said to "Repent," repentance means to change one's mind or even more so to turn and go another way. He was going around telling people that they need to turn away from this sins and hypocrisy and follow him. Why? "For," this word here is an explanatory conjunction, meaning that it explains why Jesus was telling them to repent. The reason why is because the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He isn't telling them that repentance will bring peace (which is true though), he is telling them that God's Kingdom of heaven is breaking into Earth, which means that God is restoring his kingdom and that the Israelites need to turn from their ways.

Luke 9:23
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

This is the key. Salvation may be a one time event but walking the walk is a daily commitment.

Using this, and the title of your thread, I am wondering if you believe that repentance = heaven, that they are the same thing?

Below is a saying that has never proved to be untrue:
Whenever a verse is "orphaned" meaning ripped from the surrounding verses, the result is ALWAYS a pretext.

Matthew 4:15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

I request that you clarify that statement in the OP, and your "explanation" which I quoted.
Thank you!
