Hello from Sunny Pensacola

Welcome to CFnet! :wave

No waving your Terrible Towel around here, pal. ;) Apparently, you missed the part in the ToS (which you agreed to when registering) stating that ALL members are required to shed their childish ways and jump on the Lions bandwagon. :)

Oh, you're a history buff. We Lions fans think history is boring. We have no use for it. Kinda how Steeler fans probably don't care much for discussions about the future. ;)

Just kidding. I'll see you around!

I think the Steelers drafted pretty good this year. They worked on strengthening the offensive line which was definitely needed. :clap

The Lions have done well and I'm glad to see a former SEC quarterback (Georgia's Matthew Stafford) doing well in the NFL. Barry Sanders was a great running back. :thumbsup

Being from the South, I am a big SEC fan. I also graduated from Troy University so I go to some of their games at times. I'm hoping to get up there to see them play Miss State and Navy this year. I just love it when football season rolls around.

I am a HUGE football fan, and I start getting the shakes when August rolls around. I grew up in the 70's and 80's, and the Steelers had a big impact on me. Until they invaded Detroit for a game against the Lions a few years ago and jammed our dome with their waving towels, I actually had an affinity for them from the time of my youth. Bradshaw, Swann, Stallworth, Harris, Mean-Joe Green, Hamm... How could a 10 year old not love that?

Up until I picked up Lions season tickets ~15 years ago, I was 90% college football (Big Ten, of course ;)). Fantasy Football drove me further toward the pros. You probably heard about my championship season last year on ESPN, but I digress...

I love anything football... ehem... American football. :thumbsup

Check out some of the football threads in the Sports Forum, particularly this one! http://www.christianforums.net/showthread.php?t=38489

And I hate to see this one get lost in history. :lol http://www.christianforums.net/showthread.php?t=39577

There are not many of us hard-core football fans here, so I really hope to have you around when the season rolls around! :yes

Greetings Steelers Fan. Our pastor is a big fan of the Steelers as well, so I'll be praying that God forgives the both of you :D
