Welcome Pard. Good to have you here. :) What is the significance of Pard, may I ask?

Hm? Oh, not really all the sure, just know I have used it since I was 10 or 11! I think its from my middle name, which is Shepard... wait, yes it is, I remember now, 5th grade some kid tried to sound out my middle name, and it got shortened to Pard and then it stuck, (well stuck for him at least, no one else ever called me that)

Oh, thank you. It's what I wish to do actually. I want to get a masters (at the very least!) in US History, the real stuff, not the junk. So I plan on attending Hillsdale or Regent, not sure which since they are both great schools and are rather reasonably priced. Leaning towards Regent because I can switch to the AG Bible colleges really easily if He decides that is the route for me! Frankly, I want to have a talk radio show (think Laura Ingram meets Micheal Savage meets Pat Robertson... wow what a combo!)

And don't get me started on public schools... I literally went on a rant about them for an entire class period in sociology last quarter...

regent the one run by the jay sekulow( or he assoicated with as a law professor)
i dont like savage as he has made a comment on the arabs that was rather highly uncalled for

yes we could rant quite a bit about the goverment run schools that teach so called tolerance and so on.

the aclu and the secular humanist has seriously infiltrated the schools in america

george dewey, yuck!

Ah, public schools. Here in NJ, many of us are fighting tooth and nail for Public school reform against the NJEA, which has their finger wrapped around the politicians and many teachers too. They just refused to sign off on the Race to the Top application because of a "merit clause" which would have them make a promise to look into performance-based raises and perks.

I guess they are insulted to ask that we want to hold our teachers and school systems accountable. :confused

Luckily for me most kids in my school are Christians. We have a Christian Athletes chapter at school, we are given a time for prayer each morning after the pledge, we have regular "Pray At The Pole" events. On National Day of Prayer we were allowed (seniors only) to skip class and go down to the local park to take part in the prayer.

That being said, the town is totally different. The Christian Athlete group has a pending lawsuit because they have scripture posted in the hall ways. There is a lot of ridiculous propaganda around the school, all secular or at least anti-Christian. But the students know whats what, and that is what counts!

Vic, my belief goes far beyond that! Think... no public schools at all... Oh what a beautiful world that would be...

the church fouled that one up when we let the goverment take over that role. but this is best for another thread. i'm very anti-public schools but the problem is what to do with the persons once we eliminated the system? best to reform and let it be an actual neutral system , not what it is now

if you care to debate this one. and limit it to the questions of should the american schools be abolished.

From reading your posts, you seem to be quite inteligent (my brothers a senior and dosent give a crap about religion or thinking). I look forward to hearing your views on Islam and christianity. I wonder how much like Mike savage you are (I cant stand that guy)

Um. I have been described as Micheal Savage with a heart... But yes, I do look forward to talking, the only people I know who are Muslim(Islamic) are either a) now Christians or b) girls who would rather talk about nail polish...

Alrighty Jason! I may hold off till tomorrow though, I am working on this term paper and i want to get it done tonight. It's on why America as an idea is an innovation for the entire world to prosper from.
