Hi everyone!

I'm so glad to be here among other believers and really looking forward to some great discussion about our Lord. I've been reading this forum for awhile and decided to take the plunge and register.

A little bit about myself, it's not too exciting, but will share. I have 2 children, both are in college, not married (long story), but life is good and I so enjoy the journey God has placed before me and excited to see what he has around all the corners! Throw me on a beach, in a boat, near water (preferably the ocean or Sound) and it is heaven on earth! I enjoy gardening, reading the Bible and hanging out with my kids - they make me laugh and it's so true, kids are a precious gift from the Lord - no matter how old they are!

the image is 80 years old but I didn't feel like using google earth. welcome and I don't live to far from this.

You have no idea how happy I am to be here, it just seems like such a good place for me to be right now.

that are is called orchid island and its indian river county, fl. the road there in the image san groves(It was there when I was younger back in the 80's and mid 90's is called jungle trail. that still goes that way but not like it was then with the trees around it. I could indulge you a google earth image of that.
 
I circled the forester home. I didn't think I had that one still. that is one of the first homes in my county, it no longer stands

So Florida it is! We could not be physically further apart in the lower 48. :) I've never been but would love to see Florida one day.
 
Welcome Abigail! Blessings! I thought that when you said "sound" that you were in Washington i have family there and have been there once in two different places. Glad to have you aboard! I look forward to getting to know you.

Thank you for the welcome!

Yes, when I said "Sound", I meant Puget Sound in Washington State. It's where I live. My profile picture is actually of the Sound, looking towards Seattle.

Where did you visit?

I was going to say puget, but then after i wrote it, i got this thought that it was Oregon. It's been to long.....I visited Seattle, and Paulsbo...which if i remember correctly is close to the sound. I even got to climb a part of the mountain over there. The picture is beautiful!

Lucky you! You were treated to some beauty in Poulsbo! It is on the Peninsula and I agree with you, so so so beautiful over there. Those are the Olympic Mountains and I imagine you had a wonderful time climbing them!

I am a bit biased but I do enjoy the scenery here. Oregon is beautiful, too, it's all very breath taking to see God's creation. I'm glad you were able to visit, if you are ever in this area again, please let me know! We can go climb another mountain! :)

Well glory to God, He helped me to remember that it was mount Rainier, that i climbed a little of with my cousin and her family. Wow it's been about 30 years since i was there. And yes if we ever get there we will have to look you up. May just be for a boat ride though. I had family in both and when i was younger and in california it was easy to get there. Now...will be waiting on God to see if i ever get to that side of the united states or not.

I agree there is some very beautiful country out that way! When we were looking at boats, we saw a few there and the scenery was just beautiful! You are very blessed!

The weather has been beautiful here over the past few days and Mt. Rainier stands out like something angelic. We are spoiled this year with our weather!
I so hope you are able to make it back here one day!
 
Ah yes, the beauty that is Washington State! I've traveled by road back and forth across the country a number of times and, to be honest, never went through any place that I would rather live in more than right here in Washington!

while I do miss Washington at times. I have learned often what we ignore and want to see/live in other states might be under our nose. of course much of the natural beauty of Florida's beach in my county is gone. :sad
