HELL'S FIRST MOMENT.... THROUGHOUT ETERNITY

After going through a search for death statistics i came upon another site concerning what happens to a person after death a person without Christ. God created hell for the devil and his angels for which there is no escape his fate is set for all eternity and he's not happy about it.

Exodus 3:2 The angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked and behold, the bush burned with fire and the bush was NOT CONSUMED.

Isaiah 13:8 They shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

flame.gif
Psalms 116:3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and pains of hell gat hold upon me, I found trouble and sorrow.

What mortal mind can even begin to perceive, this side of hell, what the burning will be like. Let's see if this will give you another look at lost love ones, friends, etc., and their fate if they are not saved...maybe even your fate.
THE BURNING FALL
flame.gif

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Try to imagine for every second, throughout eternity, your body with the most excruciating sunburn. Add to that the awful pain of your whole frame scalded with boiling water. To this, add the agony of bodily movement. The skin stretches. Untold daggers of pain flash through your body. You want to hold still, but the burning from the flames will not allow it. The bubbling brimstone makes you scream. Your hair is on fire. Your feet and hands blister, while you gnaw your tongue, trying to relieve the torment. Your throat is raw from screaming and wailing. Spasms of anguish drop you into the molten lava. You go under the surface gnashing your teeth. The burning brimstone flows into your mouth; runs down your throat and into your stomach. You are on fire inside and outside. Lava, red hot and smoking, flows in your ears. As your eyes try to focus in the endless, everlasting, permanent dwelling place of total torment and torturess surroundings with your burning and a feeling of melting of your eyes overwhelms you, you look and focus on worms that have totally engulfed your body. They are crawling on and in you. You can feel them. A scream comes from your burning, flaming, fiery lips. A cry for "Water" is felt throughout your whole being.

You are falling in the darkness. You feel something solid. Oh, if you only could stop falling! Your body tries to cling to the solid
flame.gif
surface. Suddenly...you are slipping. Again, you fall into the bubbling lake. You swallow another mouthful of burning slime. The horrid smell of blazing sulphur combine with the sickening odor of burning hair and scorched flesh. Nausea overwhelms you.

Something suddenly reaches out of the darkness and grasps you in terror. They begin to gnash on you with their teeth. All the time you are both screaming at the top of your lungs. You shake the gnashing person off in the darkness. Breathing heavily from the concentrated exertion, you fill your lungs with smoke. While you cough and gasp, the word "WATER!!!" escapes your inflamed lips again. Your throat is on fire. Your tongue feels like a white-hot iron against the parched roof of your mouth. Your gums pulsate with agony, while every nerve in your teeth stabs you with flashes of indescribable permanent pain.

The roar of the flames and the piercing screams of the doomed and the damned seem to tear at your eardrums. Oh, for just a moment of silence! But it never comes.

flame.gif
You can't run away this time. Thoughts of law-abiding so-called Christians didn't tell you of this place. Additionally, your thoughts go to and fro from the time you were in a Bible-believing, preaching church. Thoughts you can so clearly remember. You remember the time when the preacher was talking to you about this hopeless place of darkness and pain. He talked about Jesus and His saving Blood.......

"He told me that I was a sinner! Now I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I accept what He did for me on the cross. Can't you hear me? I want to be saved! You know, born again! What the preacher said! Won't you listen? Can't you hear? Another scream escapes your burning lips.!"

For eternity you scream those words again and again, over and over, repeating these words, but alas, they go nowhere. Words, meaningless words that can't be heard by God Almighty, but by the doomed. I want to be born again! Can't you hear me! Why
flame.gif
didn't someone tell me! Why didn't they continue to tell me when I had ignored them! Didn't they care! The doomed tell you it won't work. Your words are not heard. The living and their prayers can't help. Their money won't help you here. You are condemned here for eternity just as we are. Another scream escapes your burning lips, "NO!"

Confronting the mortality of the world around us (as well as our own mortality) can lead us to reflect more earnestly about our priorities - and provide us with a sense of urgency of purpose.

clearpixel.gif

Statisticians have calculated the "mortality rate" for the world to be roughly .883 percent. This means that 1 out of every 113 people in the world died last year.

Based on this rate, here is an estimate of the incidence of death among people now living in the world:

  • 1.78 deaths per second
  • 107 deaths per minute
  • 6,390 deaths per hour
  • 153,000 deaths per day
  • 56.0 million deaths per year
  • 3.9 billion deaths per average lifetime (70 years)

Good word TOB!

The fear of The Lord is a fountain of life, that turns one away from the snares of death.

Let this be a reminder to not put off for another day when we get a chance to witness to someone.

Very nice Halloween story. Now, how about we get scriptural and understand that the eternal fire means eternal destruction, perishing, and death? All evil will be purged this way and a new heavens and new earth come. It's not a nice ending, granted, but it is an end with our enemies becoming ashes under our feet. Sounds like a fire that consumes to me.

Also, how about we get scriptural and it's not about the neo-Grecian/Roman ideas that we "die and go to heaven". We will be resurrected at Christ's coming. The purpose of the church is the firstfruits of God's salvation to rule and reign on this earth in the millennium (heaven is coming to earth), the rest are called and saved later. Saved= eternal life and entry into God's Kingdom.

If you follow the feast days of Leviticus 23, as I do, then you can understand prophecy and how that shows man's redemption thru the ages. The "spring" ones have been fulfilled, the "autumn" feasts are yet to come.

We know what the Bible says the penalty of sin is, Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."

I haven't seen this in the Bible anywhere:

I believe that people either receive eternal life from Christ or they perish, because John 3:16 says "whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life".

But it isn't a salvation issue, whether someone believes in eternal conscious burning or death as the penalty for sin.

That place was prepared for the devil and his angels, not a pretty picture is it. What should be the penalty for leading an insurrection against the almighty, to take away his kingdom because you think your ideas are better than his.. When i here sympathy for the devil at every turn its because people believe that hell was created for us, is that what you think? If a person sides with the devil they inherit whatever he has coming to him, is that what you want?

II Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Hey, I put this to rest a long time ago:

"just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire." -Jude 7

Just a quick question:

Are those cities still burning?

Good post T and B. Honestly to say though this aspect of teaching would not guarantee a gathering of thousands flocking to see this message. It is why many preachers avoid talking about this afraid of losing people going to Church. Hoping the people at home will read about this themselves. This is why the Bible says “They shall have Itching ears” This is a term meaning of which messages satisfies the hearing to sooth and comfort them. The message of Hell is of no comfort. This is even true to the believer. But even in truth Hell is even not what God smiles about because God never desired even before He made all creation for no being not even an angel to endure such a punishment.

Lucifer once was god. So God was not angry at him in that time. But Lucifer and one third of the angels decided they were going to try to make a throne above Gods authority and Lucifer being the ruler the new god. It is why I believe God did not give him a second chance. He turned into a hideous evil being even though his outside appearance was admirable. So it is not the being of Lucifer that is horrible looking but the being he has become. God created Hell and judgment for them because God is a kind of God that rewards good and punishes the evil.

Adam in similarity was a good man. But when he disobeyed God sin was now in Adam’s heart yet again not the physical appearance of Adam but that sin which means to draw away from God completely. Sin is never a word that ever in any among is near the Lord but drawn away from Him. Sin is also known as missing the mark. So Adam sinned and now appointed to die. Genesis 2 verse 7 God created man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Man and woman the only beings with an inner soul for God are also of spirit. This is why we were created in the image of God and for that reason also are highly accountable for our actions.

Why then know the difference of flesh and soul because flesh neither does not enter into God’s Kingdom. Nor will even flesh enter Hell. It is the inner soul that goes into eternity. One poster said earlier Romans six twenty about the tree of death. But the Bible says man lives once and then shall come the Judgment. The Bible also says there is a second death.

· Revelation 20:14 NKJV

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:13-15 (in Context) Revelation 20 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

· Revelation 21:8

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Revelation 21:7-9 (in Context) Revelation 21 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

The second death is after the first. The first is a physical death we see the body in the casket. The second death the soul stands before God and is caste into the Lake of Fire that burns forever. It is also the place the opening poster T and b where the Devil and the Demons are all the falling angels were caste into this place. So all these spiritual beings will burn but yet never die. That’s why the Bible says “the worm that never dies”. See how a person is going to scream and yell, move around a helpless soul, shaking, and wiggling that like a worm that never dies.

Did you know it will also be impossible to sin in Hell? How is that so? Swearing and cursing is a sin. One may imagine one would be cursing at God. But this is not the case. The torment is so bad one won’t have any time to think. They will only feel pain. This means you won’t know memories. You won’t even be able to say “God Help me!” because every leaping flame will cause one only to focus on pain. This is why Jesus says gnashing and wailing of teeth. So there is nothing in Hell except fire and to suffer. It is also darkness to be blind forever. I don’t mean to use the word ‘you’ I just mean anyone who would be going to this place. One may say the description of this place is being lost or like being dead of no life to look forward. That is why it is the second death.

So when Jesus died on the cross He did this to save us out of this place and to save us into God’s family the kingdom of God. God does not want anyone to go there. What should God do? Send His son Jesus to die. That brings us to John three sixteen. This is a pleasant message to share? Surely never it is. I don’t take any joy sharing this place. I or no one would want to go. And I don’t desire that I or anyone to go there. But it is a message necessity to prevent anyone at possible not to end up in this place. It is then only the Word of God that can save us out of this place. If you are a true born again child of the Lord you have not to fear because the Bible shares the better option that those who do believe will obtain eternal life in perfect love and peace with God. If anyone then not yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior ask him now and for all his forgiveness procrastinate no longer. Tomorrow may never happen. Stay out of Hell. Turn to God and continue always to look up to God reigning as King and Lord.

A person is not siding with the devil if they believe that the penalty for sin is death.

Please read what the bible says, -

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2 Thessalonians 1:9

Everlasting destruction.

Not instantaneous destruction, whereby you cease to exist, but EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION.

The wages of sin is EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION!

JLB

The destruction is everlasting...as opposed to temporary destruction..........?

I don't think the point has been made here. Death is final...it is everlasting. The wages of sin is death. There is no eternal torment. You are dead. Finished. Gone. Forever. That is everlasting.

It is up to us to renew our mind with the truth of what the scriptures teach.

Not bend the scriptures to only mean what we think that it means, or have been taught to believe.

The destruction is everlasting.

It is continual, without rest...

9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Revelation 14:9-11

He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

I agree that the wages of sin is death, and everlasting destruction. I disagree that the wages of sin is everlasting nondestruction in torment in hell as you seem to be claiming.
I don't know why you are posting 2 Thessalonians 1:9 to make your case, since that verse says exactly what I am saying and contradicts what you are claiming.

Destruction is being destroyed. Everlasting destruction is destruction that remains forever. The person never stops being destroyed, they are not remade again. They do not continue on forever in hell being tortured, they have been destroyed.

Please read what the Bible says.

Does their lack of existence stop? Everlasting DOES NOT mean the PROCESS of destroying them lasts forever. They aren't going to be in the process of destruction forever. They are destroyed and that destruction is final.

This post is a good example of exalting yourself against the knowledge of God.

Even though the scripture says

These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

Please note that the primary definition of everlasting is eternal. Not continuous. We also continue to ignore passages like Jude 7. Those two cities are NOT still burning, and yet they are used as an example of eternal hellfire. They were obliterated and have ceased to exist. That's an eternal punishment.

This is not twisting the scriptures to my will. This is reading carefully and using my understanding of language and also the character of God. This is the same "loving" God who gave us all grace and now he's going to torture people forever? No thanks. I don't want anything to do with that God.

Permanent destruction by fire is everlasting...by the primary definition of the word and it's backed up by scripture.

"And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day—7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire." -Jude 6+7

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 6:23

"They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might," -2 Thessalonians 1:9

You're promoting eternal life! They aren't dead if they are conscious and can feel pain (not to mention your body feels pain so without a body, you wouldn't feel anything...not to mention a spirit without a body is dead!) They aren't destroyed...they're living in an agonizing limbo. This is a doctrine of fear and guilt and I will have nothing to do with it.
