You are aware that most of that stuff came about post world War 2 as a means to spite the USSR right? The problem was always that it was wrong for the government to endorse this. However it's really hard to fight against it at the time considering people were labeled as communist sympathizers if they protested. Social conservatism may be culturally Christian but it is not equated with evangelical Christianity. But, most Christians will be conservative.
