Welcome to the forums! My wife and I just had some family move to Brisbane back in March, one of whom is from Geelong but lived in Canada for the last 20 years or so. They'll be gone at least three years, although we suspect it could be a lot longer.

Thank you for the warm welcome. That is interesting about your family over here. My hubby & I live closer to Geelong but up in the country on a farm. Though like many `Mexicans - south of the border here - we like to go north near Brisbane or further up for the warm weather, as a holiday.

So you`ll be coming to the land down under to visit the family?

It would be nice but it may not happen due to my wife's health issues which makes long distance travel very difficult--a 4-hour flight is about her limit. But who knows, maybe with enough stops along the way it could be possible. Would have to make it a 4-6 week vacation.

Yes I quite understand as I also am limited in my strength. It`s great though with all the techno available today to keep in touch with our loved ones & friends.
