Really!!!!!????? That's what you got? Because some loonies have their panties in a wad over calling people that are caught up in depraved sexual identity crisis the pronouns that they want to be called... that defines the left for you.Transgenderism, "pronoun" edict illustrates the axiom:
Hey, I can assure you that I'm probably left of your thinking. But I'm not in agreement that we need to coddle those struggling through identity issues of their created sexual identity. However, I have read the book. I know that these things are promised to come and will be considerably worse just prior to our Lord's return. I'm particularly drawn to this piece of Paul's warning to us of the practice of sin that was future to his day: "They invent ways of doing evil." This is exactly the kind of thing that Paul was alluding to. This issue of pronouns is an invented way of doing evil that didn't exist even 100 years ago.
Paul writes that we shouldn't judge those who are not a part of us. Further, I understand that we live under a democratic form of governance which is generally going to mean that the majority gets their way. Certainly, on issues that are dealt with through our legislative process. So, as I understand it, we're to let the world go the way the world is going to go. However, our mandate is to tell everyone who will listen about Jesus. Drop all the finger pointing and condemnation for sin. Keep in mind that you're going to be judged in the same way in which you have judged others. That Paul tells us that such judging over sin is pretty much for within the congregation of believers. He literally writes: "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?"
So, I believe that once we really understand what God wants of us - it is not to judge the world just as He hasn't yet sent His Son in judgment - it is to proclaim the gospel of eternal life promised to those who trust the testimony and work of His Son. God has already tried to make a group of sinners live by His righteous law before Jesus came. That didn't work out particularly well for that group of people... if we believe the Scriptures. How anyone can be so dense as to think that man can do a better job of it through some governmental legislative process. Read the book!!! It isn't going to go that way!
So stop pointing fingers and declaring everyone to be either right or left depending on whether they listen to one agenda over another. We aren't any of us so easily pigeonholed. There are Republicans that do believe that Grump didn't win the last election. There are Republicans that support some form of abortion services. We aren't so easily defined by our political association as to what we each actually believes on every issue of that party. It just doesn't work that way and never has.
Try doing it God's way. Let the concerns over sin in the world take a step back from the ever-present forethought of your mind. Replace it with this command: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Preach Jesus! Show Jesus! Let the Holy Spirit deal with the rest of it.
God bless,
Ted
