Yeah, so I was flipping around the other night, and I came across the first annual Comedy Channel Awards Show. :bigfrown
Do these people hang on validation so much, that they just can't have enough of these? I'm bothered that they spend their lives in such "adore me" mode, and then they have to have their big Oscar nights where they go up to the stage for the ultimate "Love me! Love me!" moment. They're trying to appear sincere as they stand there in the warmth of the adulation and soak it in. "Love me!... Love me!" It's all ego. The actors who lost smile, when they're really throwing envious daggers at the winner. Then of course they think they are so significant to society, they feel the need to impart their political wisdom on everyone as they get on their soapbox.
But this additional awards show added more to it. I haven't bothered watching any of them in years. They simply can't stand being out of the limelight! When their careers are over, they will often end up on a third rate reality show, and they hang on to every show like this one where they have their little "my career has been over for 20 years" reunion up on state. It's very sad, actually. I should have more pity on people that can't find fulfillment away from the limelight. If I were the person I'm trying to be, I would have this pity. As it is, I have nothing but BLEH!
Over-glorified actors are bad enough. Desperate-to-remain-relative has-beens are even worse. :gah
