Oh yeah! I am only 46 and remember watching those shows as a kid. They weren't nearly as big a deal to me as they were to my parents and grandparents.

Jesus ate fish and that is meat, Luke 24:41-43.

Genesis 9:3; Exodus 12; 16; Deuteronomy 18; Matthew 14; Mark 7:19; Luke 5, John 21:9 and many more scriptures showing God gave us animals and ocean life to eat.

How can you dispute all these scriptures. If you do not eat meat then that is by your choice, not because God said so.

I can not say i know the truth about the Bible. Only what SPIRIT says.

If the Holy Spirit of God spoke to you then you would know that which is written in the Bible, being the infallible word of God, is truth as you have been given many scriptures and you do call yourself a Christian which means you believe in God and what He has already spoken. You are not hearing that of God's Spirit, but most likely a voice in your own subconscious.

What about animals that kill other animals for food. Are they innocent? If those animal were given the opportunity to kill humans, would they not eat?. As tiny as a mosquito is, it will look out for any opportunity to suck human blood. It's called food chain.

Christians should study karma as well. It´s in the Bible it seems. Karma may be necessary for a creator who wants a sustainable creation. So that there is a cost to destruction. I suppose God will help us cancel our karma but i suspect it can take more time if we have much to carry.
