I have used it for a cough and sore throat. Either take a spoonful or mix some in some tea. Also I don't think children 2 years or younger are supposed to have it.

I don't use honey but have heard it has benefits as a sweetener, that is it is a lessor of the two evils over sugar and may even be beneficial but, that's the type stuff I'd probably find on Google so ...FWIW.
Whenever I see something is spoken often of in the Bible like this and Olive oil, for instance, I tend to think it's pretty good stuff. Don't use olive oil either, lol.
It seems the bible has a mild way of revealing something beneficial. Honey is merely or lightly talked about in the scripture as being good. so we need to be attentive to every word in order to discover the mysteries behind each
Yes, honey is loaded with naturally occurring anti-bacterial properties and can be used for healing wounds like cuts and abrasions and even open sores. Particularly 'manuka' honey. Also taking a combination of honey and chopped fresh garlic is great for building up the immune system to ward off illness. A combination of honey and cinnamon is also fantastic for seasonal allergies. My sister-in-law takes this combo and it works wonders for her.

I'll always recall the discussion we had as machinists about oil being bacteria free as nothing wants to live in it. I can see how honey might fight bacteria for the same reason since they both have the same thick consistency.
And once the wound is healed, we can just lick it off.....yum!

Dont worry. Before long there will be no honey or many fruit and vegetables. The worlds bee population is in serious decline. Just last year i was on a seed harvest farm and the crop was so bad because lack of pollnation.
Its a serious world issue that never gets public attention.
