How do we know we are right?

The Word of God is not complex to understand.

God is for and in behalf of good, and every fruit of the Spirit.

and

God is conversely against the other side of the ledgers, evil, sin, spiritual disobedience, etc.

Believers factually have to deal with both aspects of scripture, as "practical experience" will dictate trying to crowd into only one side of the ledgers never works.

This may seem simple on the surface, but if we pay attention to the ill side of the ledgers, we "should" also see Gods Word arousing the evil present and sin dwelling in the "flesh" of man to rise up against Gods Words, and show itself as a fact. Romans 3:20, Mark 4:15, Romans 7:7-13, Romans 7:17-21, 1 Cor. 15:56, Hebrews 10:22. And these facts we all, by our semi-blinded natures in the flesh tend to scurry away from as fast as possible or we deny their present applicability.

Jesus said we, man, will live by every Word of God. Matt. 4:4, Luke 4:4. The Word does bring us certain exposures of our innards that few care to hear about. We all try quite vainly to crowd in on only one side of the ledgers of scriptures. The side we all "like." This is not practical use of scripture.

But the simplicity remains. God is for good, and against evil. That's really all we need to know, fanciful interpretations notwithstanding.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit - just as it has taught you, remain in him.

You just know. :)

Thanks everyone. :biggrin
shut up!
You don't even know what anyone is talking about.

And neither do I.....

And neither does she...

I just know, but my interpretation is different from yours!:hips

This is exceptional insight.
Why don't we all see it.
God speaks to all of us.
Do we not hear him?

It depends on what one thinks that verse is saying. The way I see it most often used on these forums makes it say something it doesn't say. It certainly is not a way that we can know we are right. Given that LovethroughDove and I seem to have differing interpretations of that verse rather proves the point, does it not?

We do hear him but the problem is some ears hear difference than other ears. Someone's faith in doctrinal issues is different from someone else's faith in certain doctrines.

It all proves very solid scriptural proofs that we all see only in part and that none of us see Perfectly.

Why would we expect any other outcome than variation in sight? If the most spiritually intelligent (supposedly so) minds on the planet can find centuries long disagreements over the slightest jots and tittles, what does that speak to but their obvious lack exposed in such exercises? And by extensions...so it is with every reader.

Free,

I'm still waiting for some answers to the questions I asked in #19. Seems as though the questions were too tough.

If we don't deal with the rules for interpreting any document, we won't be able to know how to answer issues arising from any verse in the Bible.
