How do you prepare for church?

Well. Strange question. I repeat the same procedure every week. I begin by getting confused, struggling with what best to wear and also taking extra measure of holiness and purity; I jitter over how to get the media running very fine...and doing some better chords for the songs. Church over, I go home, and again on weekends repeat the idiotic procedures of never seeming to get organised: yet this seems to be the routine Hehe

Get up, try to brush off sleepiness, get dressed, wash face and hygiene stuff...before leaving. Sometimes if I wake up later than 9:30 I end up having to rush, and there have been times I have still been half asleep when walking to church. Haha.

You know although it is nice that today one can normally attend church without having to get too fancy (at least you can at my church), I still think it's pretty cool when people make a point of putting on their best duds for God.

I didn't shower this morning before church. :shock Ewwww.

(Well I took a shower last night so I guess I didn't smell bad today.)

I turn on my tv to the new age music channel(spa type music).Wet my hair.Try to find my favorite dark bluejean flare jeans lol.Start talking to God about what we are gonna do today and asking what he thinks.His plans are pretty fun especially when he sneaks it up on me lol.Finish off my earthtone outfit and grab my backpack and on the way I always get a starbucks doubleshot white chocolate energy drink those are awesome!

Sounds much better than my way of rolling off the bed. thump right on the floor, maybe crawl through the shower, stumbling to the car and tripping into my box in the church!

To me Church is everyday I have the opportunity to wake up, dress myself and commune with God throughout the whole day everyday. I have no home Church and during the summer we are at camp and Saturday and Sunday mornings are my time in the quiet of the morning to sit out on the deck with my cup of coffee enjoying watching the river flow and the birds singing and giving praise to God for the beauty of His creation of the forest that surrounds me. During the week Church is coming into this forum and having fellowship with all my brothers and sisters as we share the word of God and lift up and edify one another. I have yet to find a good word Church in my area since we had to close the doors of the last one I use to attend, but to me Church is in my very heart and soul for wherever I am there is the Lord also.
