Well, it started a long, long, long time ago when that lizard's great great great ........ great grandpa developed a brown spot on his behind. Low and behold! One of his offspring had the same brown spot and all the girl lizards thought it was reeeeely cute so he got lots of ... uh. ... ah .... you know, and all his offspring also had not only his brown butt spot but a couple of others as well. And, again, all the girl lizards of that generation thought brown spots were just the dreamiest thing so... (more of the same.) And each succeeding generation had even more brown spots than the one before. So, now, after 12 zillion generations, all the off spring of the one lizard with the brown butt spot look like eaves.

U. phantasticus is only found in Madagascar and as far as science can tell (by actual facts) there was no evolution over time. Nothing indicates it ever looked different than it does now, or ever did not have the ability to present in this camouflaged form. Still we can see the humor in Jim's spin...

Just because the Angler fish walks on the bottom of the ocean when stalking its prey does not mean that it could walk out onto dry land (or that it ever would even attempt it) OR that eventually these types of fish EVER eventually grew legs and arms...

I'm gonna need to see the scripture that backs that up...lol :dancing

Yes. I was being intentionally silly.

It will develop lungs and arms and legs if it is necessary in order to fit into the imagination of those who find such fantastic developments necessary for the integrity of a religion based on a materialistic universe devoid of a creator.
