No worries.Well, I wanted your own thoughts on what you wrote. I don't find fault in your view. It just sounded like there were two views expressed. I certain respect that someone feels people should dress up. I don't agree, but I appreciate your position.
I hope you didn't feel like I was being critical of you.
I can rephrase to make it more clear if you like.
When I considered the OP question I thought of how I attire myself for church. It is as if I'm going to meet with someones family for the first time, and at the same time, considering my comfort threshold. I typically wear a nice longer hem dress. Or a tailored women's suit.
However, in consideration of the OP question as a whole, and being there are people who may be coming to church for the first time and have very little to consider as what they'd think were proper attire for church, I believe that as long as their clothes are clean and not risque that they can wear what they have.
We're told in God's word not judge on peoples outward appearances, but rather what is in their heart. I think in consideration of that if someone wears say jeans and a dress shirt to church, be they man or woman, and they're there sincere of heart to hear God's word because they feel called, that in no wise would God judge their attire. Because what is important is the soul. Not the wardrobe.
