How To forget about pornography

Hi carlssonyh, I understand how you must feel. Addictions in any form are hard to deal with. I highly recommend www.x3watch.com they have a great program for Christians! I believe there is a free option as well as a paid subscription. If you have a friend you can talk to and they can hold you accountable that is great!

hi , im carlsson. Im kinda addicted to pornography , is there any way or any software that can help me ??

Carlssonyh, I don't believe you're old enough to join the Men's Locker Room (you need to be 18). This would normally be moved there for privacy, but since you aren't of age, it cannot. You and everyone who responds need to understand that anyone can be visiting CFnet, including young children.

Please keep this discussion general and decent.

Thank you. :)

The first thing is not obsess over the idea. As a Christian you view sexual thoughts as a form of adultery I'm guessing. So you need to understand as a teen your sex drive is going to be high during this time as your hormones are riling up due to puberty and adolescence.

Understand that Pornography is just a fantasy and not a real person or situation. Ask yourself what exactly it is you are wanting and confront it. If you want female companionship ( not sex), then I would suggest you work up the social skills to be around women.

If its purely for the sexual side, then remember that its just a fantasy and not real. Also try and find someone, like a health professional that can help you understand what is going on right now with your hormones and such.

You really can't forget about pornography or your interest in women, but you can learn how to control it through understanding and some effort. Most of us dude had to learn how to do this, so I'm confident that you can to. ;)

Oh really? How did you come to that conclusion.

Sin is very real.

To the OP -

Focus on God. Be busy with other things - socialise, read your Bible, get involved in other activites. If the internet is causing you to sin, then consider doing something about that.

For the OP's best interest would it be possible for one of you staff guys to break the general rule and move this to the Christian forum for him? No where else to go, at least he gets a little more privacy in who can respond.

This may sound a little depressing (OK, its more than a little bit depressing), but it might help to read about the lives of porn actors and actresses. Many (most?) of them have terrible lives. Many of them end up addicted to drugs, suffering from diseases, and a lot of them commit suicide. Just do it so the next time you look at porn you can see a real, suffering human being.
