How to KNOW You're Eternally Saved

We can not have personal relationship with Him if we don't know Him. How do we get to Know Him?. Only through the Bible. We will see what He is talking about in our actual life.

He has things he wants to give you that apparently you may not believe exist. When you reach a place where he begins to give you those things you will begin to get to know him better.

According to what you have posted here it appears you do not know him near as much as you would like us to believe.

The Church is a family. In a healthy church new people are continually being added to it. Often these people come as babies (newly reborn infants) along with all there warts etc.

It is not all that different than a biological family. Children do not become mature immediately upon becoming your child. And nether do the children of God.

In every church you are going to have people at all levels of maturity.

You also said:
If we are obedient to Him we should be able to communicate with each other without too much difference in our opinions.

How about the difference of opinions you have with your children? Especially with teenagers? (or if you are a teenager "with your parents.") What makes you think it should be any different with Gods children?

I have observed some Christians go to their grave with out some of the things Jesus has given me. Tell me just at what age (or point) do think children become mature? What you are proposing is impossible.

You also said:
If the churches are not aiming to be obedient to Him there is not going to have any harmony or much of accomplishment for Him.

It is possible to have a certain degree of harmony among Christians, but in order for that to take place there needs to be a change in you.

Romans 12:18 NIV.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Sounds as though that is your responsibility. I don't see anyone changing to accommodate you.

Yes church is like a family. I have two teenage kids and one 27 year old daughter with her 5 year old son living with me. We have perfect harmony in the family. Do you know why? Because we are all aiming for Jesus. We live by His teachings. We fight or argue once in a while but they dont last and we don't hold grudges. We always find a solution in the Bible. Yes I am more mature than my kids but because they are committed to following Him we don't have problems of differences of opinions. We follow what the Bible says, not what we want. Because they are committed to Him they are making my job so much easier as their mother. Praise the Lord!!!!!.

I find that very interesting. Because Jesus said:

Matthew 10:35 NIV
For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her motherinlawâ€â€

I guess that does not apply to your family.

Is Jesus lying?

No, He is not lying. You are just misinterpreting Him. What He means is if we don't follow Him we will be against each other.

It seems that you trying find the fault with the Bible.

I am sure you can support that statement with scripture?
Or is that just your interpretation?

I interpret from whole context of the Bible. Jesus is expecting us to read between the lines too. If we are true to Him we should be able to do it confidently. If we don't mind being obedient to Him we won't look for loopholes to make excuses. It seems that's what you are doing. Good day now.

True believers have no discord with each other, because the Holy Spirit dwells within each believer.
There is no disharmony among believers yielded to the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit witnesses to us that the scripture is FACT (the RECORD THAT GOD GAVE US)-God’s Holy Spirit bears witness that the bible is TRUE. The Holy Spirit witnesses in us that it is fact. God says to you, after you’re saved, that He has given you a document that is totally dependable.

This is why I am so aghast at the millions of people who are fine with the distorted texts being sold to church members.
ALL bible versions are NOT ok.
All paths do NOT lead to salvation.
Jesus said: Many are called, few are chosen.

The closer it gets to Jesus's return, the more easy it will be to separate the wheat from the tares.

AMEN!!!! I just finished talking to my husband about how so many people who call themselves Christians don't believe the bible but instead, think they know better than God's word!!! Jesus said "He who is not with me is against me." One cannot both say he's the truth and that he's a liar at the same time. So it's a pleasure to see someone who loves the word of God because the word of God as John 1:1-3 tells us is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. So if people have a problem with that, then talk to God about it because those words come from him, not the opinions of fallible human beings. It warms my soul to see a post such as yours because it's very rare and getting rarer all the time, as Jesus tells us it will. :)

Eternally saved

Gingercat, I'll communicate with you first: I agree, it is a shame there are so many denominations. I see them as groups of individuals who believe they have the correct meaning, interpretation of the scriptures. Not to justify more sinning, as someone suggested, but for a closer walk in the will of god.

When we see so many denominations, and such disharmony among the Church/Body of Christ, it certainly seems as if Satan is winning. But, this is not true! So often churches split, for one reason or another, and one group will move away. Yet, God's will is not going to be thwarted; this group will probably win some to Christ that the first group couldn't.

As for our salvation:we are now called "saints" by our apostle and teacher, Paul. Which means to be "set apart' for the Lord's work. Personally, too many Christians talk about "following Jesus" or "listening to Jesus", and IMO they use His earthly name, not giving Him the honor of His title: Christ Jesus the Lord.

Did we not believe because He calls us through the gospel, the good news?
And how did we get this faith? "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" AV. Rom.10:17. Paul calls it "faith's obedience", or ,"obedient to the faith". It is a gift of God in the sphere of grace, Eph.2:8,9.

And when we believed into Christ, the Holy Spirit made it's home in us. Are we now perfect? Of course not. We are encouraged to be filled with the Spirit; to not quench the Spirit; to not grieve the Spirit; etc.

Will God's Spirit still indwell a believer, even if lives starts living a carnal life? Of course It will. Is man's will stronger than God's? Of course not! Will saved members of the Body of Christ give account for their deeds? Indeed, at the bema (Gk), the judgement seat of Christ in the heavenlies, after we are resurrected and changed to have Spiritual bodies fit for the heavenlies.

And I'm stretching this out further than I thought. Dear fellow believers, read Ephesians over and over. Especially the first three chapters. God is preparing spiritual blessings in the heavenlies for the Church/Body beyond anything we can imagine. We are justified, in God's plans; perfect in Christ.
Therefore, we are encouraged to walk as sons of God, being led by the Spirit. Amen.

God bless, Bick
