As believers we need to know the difference between divine good and human good.

The intake of doctrine gives us this frame work or plan of how to produce divine good.
2 Timothy 3:16-17~~(NASB95)
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

If the believer is outside of this framework or plan, that believer is producing human good and not divine good.

And the unbeliever can only produce human good and it is not pleasing to God.
Romans 8:8 (NASB95)
8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

And that human good cannot save the unbeliever.
Titus 3:5 (NASB95)
5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

So how does the believer produce divine good? And only believers can produce the kind of "works" that the Bible speaks of.
Ephesians 2:10 (NASB95)
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
1. We have to be born again/ saved/ in union with Christ.. Eph 2:10, Rom 8:8-9
2. Daily intake of bible doctrine. 2 Tim 3:16-17.......to know the precise plan.
3 Be in fellowship with Him. John 15:4; 1 John 2:28
4. We must be filled and walking in the Spirit. Eph 5:18; Gal 5:16;25

And every time we sin, we are out of this divine plan for Divine good production. So we simply rebound to regain this fellowship and filling of the Spirit.
1 John 1:9~~New American Standard Bible
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Acknowledge them to God.
Psalm 32:5~~New American Standard Bible
I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

Divine Good is the Spirit/Christ/God the Father working through you. It is God the Fathers plan, Christ fulfilled the plan, The Spirit reveals and works that fulfilled plan.
John 14:23~~The Father.
John 14:20~~The Son
Rom 8:11~~The Spirit
