I Am A Grandpa Now!!

I have two sons, 33 & 34...and I'm not a grandpa until I'm 57? What's wrong with those boys?! Lol

But my older son took my advice and married that girl before he was born! He's a chunky little baby. His name is Jacek which is a Polish name and he didn't want a real common name for him. My sons are 1/2 Polish because their mother was Polish and from Szczecin Poland.

I am so stoked! This is very cool, Praise God!

Well it seems like all of my peers in my age group have all been grandparents for a long time already. My kids are both handsome and have always had nice girlfriends, but nobody getting married or having kids. Besides, my brother in Columbus had four girls! None of them are going to carry on the family name.

That was the very last thing that I told my kids before I left to move here...Hey, what are you guys waiting on? By the time I was 33 my kids were 10 years old already! Go get married and make me a grandpa! And my older son did it! There's rumors that my younger son does have a child with a girl. But she is either married or living with someone and already has a family with her boyfriend. But I dunno. He changes the subject when I bring it up, lol.

Too bad my grandchild lives in Colorado still. :/ Or I could go over and visit a lot.

You forced me to think back to when I got grandchildren. (no. I'm not a grandma!!!LOL) My first grandchild was born when I was 53...so, yeah, I guess this is the right age. I have 5 now and I think that's it.

I also have my sons kids that I never see..they live in Connecticut. Two twin girls (16) and one boy (11). They're a nice family and I get along with all. They do come over a lot and he comes here about every 2 years,,,,even without the family at times.

So, you'll make some trips. Don't let the distance stop you. They're only a baby for a little while and they're SOOOO CUTE!
It's kind of like with kittens...I could go for a new one every year,,,problem is: They grow up! So enjoy Jacek while he's a baby.
Each age brings its joys and hardships....as you know.

My,brother was a grandpa before 45.he has three sons as young as his sons.hid oldest daughter whom he adopted and middle child have boys.

Each new generation that comes along always becomes greater while the former becomes lesser. Lol.

Congratulations!!! I am at the age of making my parents grandparents, but I do think how nice it must be to be a grandparent - you can spend plenty of time with your grandbabies if you live close and enjoy their company without all the toddler meltdowns and teenage dramas lol.
