I am Getting To Old for This

I am getting a royal tail kicking with the flu, and when I get the flu I get a beat down like no other. I feel like calling for my mommy. And yes I do have on the pajamas with the feet in them and Yogi Bear and Boo Boo all over them.

I wouldn't feel bad about it. The Flu is hardcore. Nobody likes it. At least you have a good immune system and you're healthy in other respects. Some people get the flu...and that's the end of them. :-(

I noticed that after age 45 or so that when I get a cold or a flu I honestly feel like I might not survive. In my youth I just waited it out and made plans for when I got better.

I'm sure it feels worse, but...from what I've read, on the group level, its the elderly, people w/ HIV/AIDS, and others with seriously weakened immune systems who are seriously at risk from a bout with the flu. That said...I've heard some doctors say the flu vaccine isn't that great, so I don't know what people in those categories are supposed to do...

Yep,
My husband landed in the hospital last winter, he has COPD, it was rough, didn't know if he would make it.
But by the grace of God, he did.

My dad has COPD he almost died 3 weeks ago
